How to germinate cherry seeds without cold stratification

Cherry seed germination without cold stratification. In this video, I show you how to germinate cherry seeds fast and without cold stratification (so you don't need to put them in the fridge).

I wanted to test this out to see how fast I could get cherry seeds to germinate. The results were interesting.

For me, cherry seed germination has been difficult. I've tried different ways, with AND without cold stratification. This method has been the best and most successful method thus far.

You can speed up the germination rate open cherry pits and remove the cherry seed. I show you how to open cherry pits in this video too.

Another gardener said you can try sprinkling Cinnamon on seeds to prevent any bacteria or mold from growing. I might try this on half my seeds and see what happens.

I crack the kernels, put the seeds straight into compost and give it a good soak. This avoids more handling, breaking seeds and roots and stems, the mold that often forms in the paper towel method. Too much sun can kill the tiny plants to start off with.
