My cherry seeds are in the fridge, covered in a wet paper towel and in a plastic bag.  What do I look for that will tell me when to plant ?  What month is the "preferred" month to stick in the dirt ? Thanks Dr Green Thumb =)

I live in South Australia. We are now heading in to Summer. I have some cherry seeds i got from My girlfriends grandads tree. I really enjoyed the fruit so id like to grow the tree from seed. Would i be able to grow the seed by just putting it in a pot outside? or should i put it in the fridge like you said? we dont really get frezzing temps outside in Adelaide....at anytime of the year...

like 1 or 2 years ago i collected about 20 cherry seeds to plant them i tried to plant 10 like any normal plant and they didnt grow
I still have the other 10 seeds, do you think they will grow even if they're 2 year olds?
and if so, how many seeds did you plant and how many sprouts did you get? did you have to water the seed daily or each week? after taking them off the fridge did you plant the seeds in a big or small pot?

It is very hard way to grow a cherry tree from seed. Do this way, Just eat a big cherry fruit . then take a plier to crack the seed shell. You get the bare true cherry seed then burry it in soft wet soil. You can have a beautify little cherry tree win a few weeks
