I've stuck around on the channel because I see you as a good neighbor (although a long distance neighbor) tackling the struggles of life together, not celebrity.

I don’t always agree with your videos but I do believe you are a good man of humble heart! I think this was a brave video and I admire how you share the personal struggles of YouTube on you. Great video, don’t get caught in the hype but also don’t feel ashamed to take the praises of your hard work!

That echo chamber effect is also prevalent in churches, work, anywhere in life and can be super toxic

I'm glad you have found your happy place with the small group. I've been watching since the beginning, and other channels come and go, but your's has stayed on my watch list. I think it has because of videos like this partly. I've seen you and your family grow and change and move and shift focus to new things, but I just seem to enjoy watching what you share with us. Thank you.

I appreciate what you do. I started following you years ago when I found you were one of the few individuals willing to demonstrate how to properly care for and sharpen an axe. Your emphasis on how to appreciate the quality and functionality in the tools that we use is a very important contribution to a world where so many men have been raised without a father or grandfather to impart that wisdom. I don't feel you need to be pressured to always be perfect. I am not sure the internet will come down on you when you don't have the answer right off. I think you will find that if you try something new and mess up getting the bugs out, your audience will be right there with you. In real life, even experts have to work around and through problems, and they even make the wrong call from time to time. There are lessons to be imparted in finding the answers as you go, and how you deal with mistakes. Thank you for being self aware and reflective. You are right 99% of the time; that 1% of the time that you are not is just God's way of keeping you humble.

This may be counter productive to your point in this episode, but I was hit by your message. I pray I may have that humble perspective when I am on a prideful high horse. Good word. Good testimony. God teach me through it.

I startedfollowing you back when you had the off grid property. There has been a lot of changes over the years. Sometimes I miss the old content but I realize life and things change and those days are gone.
I've stuck around because the stuff you share interests me and I have the some of the same interests. Do what makes you happy..

Glad you found your WarBand Cody!
Their are a few of us that just see you...being more transparent than most, and it is what keeps me watching because it is rare.
One would think some of the comments would keep you humble...lol?
I have met many famous people via working at a Concert venue/NHL arena and a few that have fallen into the trap you have mentioned or far worse...most were still pretty decent though.

Brother, I have been watching you for about 12 years. You will always be one of the greats in my book even though you screw up all the time. I watch you for how you deal with the screwups. You are motivating thousands in a wonderful way that not many are. Thank you for all you efforts. I look forward to you and your work more than any other (Surviving Ringworm is a close second). Keep you head up and thank you.

It takes a lot to stop and look at yourself in the mirror and take stock of yourself. Then sharing that self criticism with everyone like this. It is refreshing to see that you are still able to humble yourself. I hope you have a blessed day Cody.

So much of what you talked about rings true for me, especially where Pride is concerned. My occupation became so much richer when I gave up the idea that I knew/had to know everything, and started approaching every situation with the attitude that I had something to learn. I stared mentoring junior people, and much to my surprise I found that I was learning as much as I was teaching. I am so much more capable now because of it, though I do have to constantly correct myself when I slip back into pridefulness. Thanks for sharing this.

You should get started in jiu jitsu. It not only creates a strong brotherhood or sisterhood in struggle but also reminds you that you aren't special. Everyone has a neck and someone is going to try and squeeze it. This will keep you humble.
