I noticed the video edit, good job, it was a bit strange at first but then I got it! Good idea, every second was informative! No second was wasted in this video.

At -30°C (-22°F), seeing 34.5 kWh/100km (1.8 mi/kWh) is quite reasonable. That's what I would expect from most BEV of that size/class. Thanks for sharing.

Toyota bZ4x does not use heat pump after temperature drops down to -10°C. After that only resistsnce heater (7 kW). FWD consumption is acceptable but AWD can barely get 200-220 km in -15°C.

I have been driving EVs since 2014. Cold temperature will sap your range in no time. Charging will also take longer. I took delivery of my 2024 BZ4X XLE last week. Its UI could be better but overall it is not a bad EV at all (AWD is a different story I have read).

I'm in Quebec right now, thinking of getting a 2023 BZ4X FWD and drive it back to Ontario. I drive about 160KM total daily, level 2 charging at home and level 1 charging at work. Im debating between this and the Chevrolet Bolt EUV. They are both basically the same price.

Low 30s with under 10k KMs.

The bolt is a Premier version with super cruise
BZ4X is just the LE version with cloth seats - believe it comes with radiant heating though?

People say don't buy an EV without a heat pump but with temperatures like this, the heat pump doesn't provide much benefit?
Between the two, which would you go with?

How long does it take to do a thorough DC fast charge (say 10-80%) during a -30C day?

How is the lvl 2 charging from 10 to 80 % in -20 or colder? I'm considering this however I don't have a garage so it would be outside all winter in Canada plugged into a lvl 2 charger, also is it like hyundai where if it's plugged in it would keep the battery warm?

Hello, I have tested BZ4X twice so far. Everything about the car is great. But it consumes a lot and the battery runs out very quickly. Since you have a good relationship with Toyota, I would like to ask you to forward this feedback so that the cars can be updated and the problem fixed.

Almost a year after your video. do you still enjoy your BZ4X ? I am thinking to buy a 2024 one. I like the space. the performance I guess it is like the others competitors ( except maybe Tesla)

I've been on a waiting list for a bz4x fwd with the winter package since June 2022. Obviously you have the 150kw battery. How is the charging at a public charger with your model in the cold?

How how many miles/km are you getting on a full charge (90-100%) at that temperature?
