The Philippines continues to do extremely well in managing the latest outbreak of Omicron. The peak daily new cases on Jan 15 were 38, 867 and as of Feb 9 were 3, 543, a 91 % drop. This is quite encouraging, and if it continues to decline, it would seem very unlikely, at least in the short term, that travel requirements will be even more stringent. (In contrast, peak daily new cases here in the US were 1, 433, 377 on Jan 10, and new cases as of Feb 9 226, 782, an 85% decline.)

Thank You Grandpa Vlogger! I have found an insurance company that will sell me a Travel Insurance Policy; but, it costs me almost $500 per month. I am 81 years old. I cannot afford this. I will now have to wait until IATF changes the requirements and drops the insurance policy requirement. My wife is a dual citizen and meets all the requirements to go as does our child. It is a shame we cannot go to the Philippines now and the Philippine economy will miss out on the money we would have spent. Maybe they will come to their senses and realize the pandemic will be over in a month or two when the world acquires herd immunity through the omicron variant of Covid! We will just wait it out!

Also may I recommend NOT TO SKIP AD while watching vlogger grandpa. That is our only way of helping him. Also on your free time you can always go on his channel and play his videos(some people do this, it doesn’t mean you have to watch, if you already watched them)it will play all his videos.

Grandpa I received a message from a EXPAT that has connections in the Philippines namely a internet supply company and the message said to me regarding insurance.He said wait a few weeks a company in the Philippines is going to roll out a covid insurance policy. he mentioned its about money money money.I can see this becoming a big money making scam for some and some of those dodgy insurance companies you see around the motor registration places in the Philippines peddling there wares

I'm from the Philadelphia area, and when we (wife and I) went back to the Philippines, we had a shuttle drive us to JFK (EVA Air). We talked about taking PAL back when we go home. Do I need to get the RT-PCR test done in NY or will it be Ok getting one from the Philadelphia area?

Grandpa V, I got specific covid insurance coverage for $52.00 for my 30 days trip to the Philippines Saturday and the reason balikbayan must have insurance ( covid) is the Philippine government will not accept responsibility for them as they are considered part foreign as giving up citizenship in the Philippines, great chart thanks for your help.👍🇺🇸🇸🇽🇺🇸

In addition to making SRRV NO-EED correction, people viewing might think to items on the ppt are the ONLY things you need to come in. There is also heath insurance; the 35K health insurance is required by some but not all travelers for example those with a Philippine passport.
