Pretty hard to do in practice for seriously depressed people imo, but it's still like one of the best things to try to do. It's just crazy how the mind can debilitate you. I don't even have bad thoughts sometimes, it's just the feeling making me wanna die.

I woke up like this today. I walked to the beach and tried to relax. Stretched and listened to some philosophy. I walked the whole beach and tried taking a nap under a tree. I ended up being out for four hours and walking 6 miles. Came home just as sad and defeated as when I left. Unfortunately it didn’t help today. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

I am bipolar and have had five depressions so far. Medication, therapy and a drastic change of lifestyle has Made me Stabil for 2 years now but every morning I am hunted by anxiety and weird semiconsious Dreams. The only remedy is to get out, shower en take a walk with my dog. A soon as I close the door the feeling dissolves and the anxiety dissapears slowly. So my dog saves the day, over and over again!

Wild guess. You have never experienced what it is like. I don't mean to be disrespectful, in fact I'm happy for you. I'm sure that works for those who wake up with the blues, or simply dreading the responsibilities the day has for them to accomplish. For someone with major depression, chronic anxiety, C-PTSD, ADHD, those who've lost their family, friends, and health. They live in constant pain. You make it sound too simple. It isn't. Sick of faking it.

OMG! You are right! I sit here with my memories when I should just get up and enjoy life. Turn on the lights and meditate. That's what I use to do with ease but everything has catched up to me but I need to get back into the habit of just doing one thing for myself in the morning.

This is good advice for the blues or a bad mood, not depression.
This is like telling someone with a broken arm “go throw a ball & it’ll get better”

With all due respect this video’s depression “cure” is “just turn that frown upside down!”

So crisp to the point of disbelief! But the amazing truth is that after depression, anxiety, ocd, cptsd, bpd a full circle...it is the simple things that work is what I've learnt!! It's really about the mindset call it patience, call it forgiveness, call it a fake it until u make it shit but what works, works! Believe in yourselves warriors❤

What if you are also severely fatigued (due chronic conditions, lack of sleep, chronic pain etc) and your body can barely make it even to the bathroom? How to transport that negative energy without physical energy?

I dealt with depression and I hear the comments. This is good advice. Not easily executed but true. I had a friend who knew I was depressed and he would pick me up at 4am to go to the gym. I usually would wake up 3-4am in the morning and dread in my sorrow but because of him I didn’t have time to lay there in my misery. A little consistency and I got better. This is helpful advice that will work for some.
