Tying A Secure Knot When Using Mule Tape

Mule Tape is a very, very strong cordage. Amazingly strong! And it is generally easy to get knots to release - especially when you don't want them to.
You won't want to use regular knots with this stuff. (Remember that!)
Here is the knot I devised for when I use mule tape. I have been using this knot for years now and it is easy and secure.
Here is what I call my "Rich Knot".

That's a "Double Davey" knot. An excellent fishing knot.

I use to ATV a lot and winch with mule tape. I used these knots and noose knots and never had a issue. I also carried pulley sheves and made some very complex pulls using mule tape instead of steel cable. I even weieved 300' of mule tape and made a pull rope that I could pull anything with. that was stupid light. and repairable.

Looks like excellent advice. Been thinking about getting some mule tape after learning about it. Good to know about those knots along with what not to use. Thanks for sharing. Put this video in my favorites so I won't lose track of it, when I get some tape.

Not sure what that hot mess is about, but a good bowline with a quick release seems to be the best knot for mule tape.
