Do you suffer from Sciatica Pain during Pregnancy? These stretches will help you relieve the pain in you back and leg.

The sciatic nerve branches off of your spinal cord in your lower back and runs through your buttocks and down your legs. During pregnancy sciatic pain can arise if your growing baby and expanding uterus put pressure on your sciatic nerve. You’ll know it’s sciatic pain if you’re experiencing shooting, sharp pains that start in your lower back, and go down your leg .

The upcoming stretches will hopefully help you relieve the pain. I suggest doing these exercises consistently 1x per week. The stretches are suitable for any trimester.

I have a sciatic (SIJoint) disfunction. I also have been doing yoga for a while and have been teaching as well. However, there is so much to know about the body in this case.

If you have sharp pain and especially if you have a history, see a specialist first.

I have had to relearn what I can and cannot do during pregnancy.
I haven't had this pain in my SI joint, even tho I have an old pattern. But with my exercises I was healing it before. Nonetheless, there is still part left and even if a woman had nothing before it or very coming to have the pain during pregnancy.

A lot of those stretches in this video are great in general, but not in the case of SI joint issues during pregnancy.
During this time it is very important to be stable with your pelvis, which means to avoid single leg activities, such as exercises and stretches.

For my case I know learned during this time I have to refrain from this stretches ect.
As they will rather aggravate and weaken the SI joint and
the pelvis.

So please inform yourself clearly before using a video on YouTube. It is a great option but you and your body are unique. Those just don't work for everyone the same way.

At the beginning of my 2nd trimester, the pain started to crawl in and I had one bad week, then I started with this stretching exercises. After doing it once the pain was almost gone! Now I keep on doing it 2-3 times per week and the pain is gone. Thank you soooo much Sally, this stretching routine is amazing!!!

I have been dealing with sciatica my whole pregnancy but once I hit 34 weeks, I actually could hardly stand up and walk straight. These stretches have helped SO SO SO much! I do it twice a week and it really has helped! Expecting mom’s… definitely do this!

Fantastic video - quick and easy to do (even at 36 weeks pregnant!) and really helps to relieve the pain. I’ve been doing it a lot more frequently than once a week as it’s been helping so much.

I'm 8 months pregnant and I've been having lower back problems and tight hips for awhile, I was thinking of going to a chiropractor. Then when I did this stretch, my body made popping noises and I instantly felt relief ☺
