Player discovers rocket jumping 20 years ago: "Wow that's hilarious, we never even considered that! Let's make entire game modes around this mechanic!"
Player discovers rocket jumping in current year: *banned for exploiting a bug*

They literally had a once in a lifetime hit and destroyed everything. Not even a new Update got playercount to rise.

I stopped as soon as the community managers revealed who they are and made the company look like hypocrites sucks but the damage was done.

Devs : Are you having fun ?
Players : Yeah !
Devs : Sorry you can't have fun.

Reminder the man in charge of balancing was responsible for driving Hello Neighbor into a greasy, fetid, maggot ridden trench-turned grave by consistently flubbing the balance patch by patch. Which is like eating a carcinogen sandwich with tumor slices and red 40 sauce.

Players complained about some weapons being useless and asked them to be buffed. A lot of those same weapons still haven’t had any changes. It seems like an easy way to get brownie points with the players and add variety

"Balance" in singleplayer and PVE games has to be done very carefully. Since nerfing things basically means making them less fun.

If you've played the first helldivers, you'd know where this path is headed. It'll force everybody to adopt the same meta for higher difficulties in the same constant loop and overpowered DLC weapons

This game's fall from grace needs to be studied

Helldiver's 2: it's Nerf or nothing.

The devs have a very small minded "vision" where what we the players want is not even considered...

In the early days of Warframe, there was a bug that allowed a player to fly through the air at ridiculous speed. It was great to give the players more control, but looked pretty broken. So the devs took it out.

BUT they added BULLET JUMPING into the game which, while not as nuts as coptering was, gives the players a great deal of control over their movement.

If Helldivers had done THAT instead of just stomping on everyone's fun, then we would be telling a different story right now.

Super Earth will fall, and Arrowhead is to blame.

Turns out managed democracy is cringe, let Super Earth burn. Let us start the great manufactorums of Mars!

Saw it comin'. When a dev team chooses to regularly NERF the fun out, they're not developers, they're control freaks.

Ironic. The devs are nerfing the game for the players because they themselves suck at the game.

That you can't equip both released Mechs at the same time in the same loadout still boggles my mind.

EDF has the right mentality.... this weapon go boom .... probably to you more than them.... but you can use it if you want.

The Dev's are protecting their sandbox and removing toys that threaten the sand. They should be thinking here is the box... we got tons of sand... bring all of the toys.

When they’re nerfing weapons on a PVE game, developers can’t be shocked when their playerbase gets fed up with it. The bugs right now are playing ping-pong with many Helldiver corpses, all because their weapons just ended up tickling them and not turning them into a green mist.

It was so fun at first, never expected them to hate their customers so much.
