There's really a big difference between a smooth 60 and a choppy 60

after running higher frames, absolutely no doubt its a huge advantage, went in one week from averaging a 3kd and having really lacky builds to averaging a 10+kd and builds are way more up to par, if your looking to be competitive, you cant on 60fps or anything under 100 really

I have a 144hz monitor and my pc can run 240 fps. Do you think I should just cap the fps lower or keep it at 240? Does switching from 144hz to 240hz make a big differencev

The thing that a lot of players don’t understand is that when the new console comes out. Their FPS may say 120 but if they have a 60hz monitor then there always still gonna be on 60

60 FPS on pc is one hundred times better then console because of the imput delay and the way you are able to go higher and stay at a good frame rate to hit all your shots

For the thunbnail it looked like the 60 FPS was better LMFAO

120hz being thrown under the bus, which is ironic since 240hz is mentioned numerous times. But anyway, 60fps should be the baseline. I finally upgraded to a 144hz monitor, and while I normally won't ever be playing at that frame rate, there's still a noticeable difference between 60fps and 90fps, but it gets a lot harder to notice much of a difference with most games I've played that are not strictly first-person with some kind of shooting element above 90 - 100, and that's with a mouse. When using a controller, the differences are even less noticeable.

One of the main reasons I was holding off on getting a higher refresh rate monitor though is because I still play console games from time to time, and it's bad enough going from 60fps to 30fps, but I can't imagine being acclimated to 90, 120 or 141fps and then trying to play console games again. It would be almost unbearable. Going from 60 to 30 is bad enough.

Also, games don't feel "slower" at higher refresh rates, you just have a much larger window for your inputs to register than at a lower frame rate where everything feels more sluggish and delayed due to input lag and motion clarity issues.

The real question is will it make a bad player good? someone who doesn't get wins, will it make that much of a difference? i play alright, i know how to build but i don't get a lot of wins, will it allow me to free build, do retakes and go insane with the edits, or it just improves aiming and that's it?

I’m at 60fps, but I just ordered a 240hz monitor. Can’t wait to try it and see if it makes a difference

Did you change something to the pc for 240 FPS because I consider buying the pc and I want to play 240 FPS

Your kinda wrong a 60hz monitor can even go up to 240 FPS but there’s jus gonna be a lot of screen tearing but with g sync or freesync it reduces the tearing

What you shud do
If u play casually and just for fun then stay in 60hz cuz that's all u need
If u play competitively u need 144hz or higher with at least 120 or more FPS
In conclusion u can still go pro on 60hz but u need more FPS
What r ur pc specs all I ik is that I have an i7 but it's rlly gud I always get 240 FPS and I have a 4k monitor
