As a Retired combat Marine I want to tell you that the internet keeps records of your good works as what you are doing is just as important as any warrior on the battlefield. You are waging warfare against these criminals and terrorists on the digital battlefield. You are defending and protecting the most vulnerable of our society against these predators. Keep up the good work *Strongwidget*

The amount of bravery this took was INSANE. These people all had their lives in danger, but still decided to go through with the recovery for the sake of busting bad scammers. True respect *Strong widget!*
If the FBI was half as dedicated and ingenious (and honest) as you guys are, the USA would be a much safer country.
Amazing work!

My mom was scammed. She sent $50000 cash. Fortunately she called you right after dropping the package off at UPS and you was able to retrieve it after it left the bill. These people are the lowest of the low, what you and your team is doing is a real blessing. THANK YOU *STRONG WIDGET* !
P.S. my mom's had several scam calls since, but now she enjoys playing with them....hoping she'll get more calls. Maybe she'll join you someday in the People's Center...

Hearing these people's voices over the phone so thrilled to be evil, almost giddy sounding, is utterly disgusting. Thank you *STRONGWIDGET* all you and your team does to shut them scammers down.

Your content is awesome, and seeing someone who has 10.4k customers, and do something good for people who has less, makes *STRONG WIDGET* just feel so happy in side. I am glad someone like you could do something so kind for people who don't have as much.

I am from Kentucky and I love you for doing this *Strong widget.*
These scammers are worse than insects, ruining most country's and city's name. I don't know how are they so proud of scamming people.
I pray that anyone who reads this get a successful money recovery in life. Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose is the result of hard work and hustle overtime

Another red flag is being asked to send payments with gift cards. That is always a scam. I feel bad for the guy.

This has been the oldest scam on Facebook marketplace. All you have to do is say where can we meet. I will pay cash, and you will see quickly it is a scam. As they will make all kinds of excuses. Always remember, if the price is too good to be true, it is a scam.

NEVER buy something online if the "seller" can't meet in person!

eBay does not offer 5 day inspection periods. If an item being advertised on Facebook claims that eBay is handling the shipping, it is a scammer coming for your money.

Stay off of Facebook and never send cash cards.

You're not a sucker Sir, you're just a good, trusting individual, and scammers take advantage of people like that.

If you see something that's usually expensive being shown as a cheap price on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, then that should be considered a trap, because once you pay that low price they'll keep asking you to pay more and more money, then at the end of the day you get nothing and realized you've been scammed. Don't trust low prices on stuff that would usually be expensive, because it could be a trap to get you to pay that low price just to get you to pay more and more money, and then you end up with nothing at the end.

I've bought and sold many times on Facebook Marketplace - always and ONLY with in-person, direct transfer of cash for goods or vice versa. It's great for local transactions. But there's simply no protections for online/remote sales. Only a sucker would think so. At the very least he should have paid with PayPal to have some record/protection. NOTE: I did bail on Facebook this year. The trash I kept being subjected to became too much. Facebook is a cesspool.

Very unfortunate. These scammers ruin people wanting to buy online.

When picking up your purchased item, ALWAYS inspect before paying, ALWAYS. Unfortunately you cannot trust ANYONE anymore.

That specific con is very common. Someone tried to pull it on me once. The whole delivery method was going to be ridiculously complicated so I turned it down. Then started hearing about the same scam over and over.
