HOW TO DISPOSE COOKING OIL | THE FLOUR GIRL

Anyone else fry food or baked goods and never know what to do with the oil after? 🥴 Im not someone who stores old jars for oil (and if I did, i would repurpose or recycle them instead). I will reuse oil if it’s for myself or if I just fried a handful of donuts in it, but it’s not good to pour oil waste down the sink 🫢 This stuff solidifies the oil so you can dispose of it without a mess 🧼 I’m a new fan! Not sponsored, just a happy customer!

My fiancé recommended this stuff (it’s called Oil Toss) and I’ve linked the one we bought in my Amazon storefront under baking essentials! Gonna keep it on hand always when I have to fry up donuts 😳🍩

Reading majority of these comments really pisses me off that y'all are going for her neck like that. I mean damn she was just making a suggestion she didn't say the oil in the video was going to be thrown away. Y'all talkin about keep reusing it give it to someone else in all seriousness be honest who is going to take somebody else's old used cooking oil geez. Y'all are ridiculous you make people feel like they shouldn't even suggest anything because y'all continuously insulting her every which way she turns it's ridiculous come on guys how old are we? If you feel that strongly about the oil why don't you give her your address and she can mail the nasty shit to your

Very cool. I respect your practicality. I think people don't realize the importance of biodegradable items being in a landfill. As things like this solidified oil biodegrade in the landfill it promotes decomposition of other less organic material. The majority of people who fry with oil will dispose of the used oil in the most convenient way, regardless of how it may impact the environment or their plumbing. This IS a pretty cool intermediate solution.
Much more practical that trying to make soap from fryer grease.

If you don’t do this, then just soak it up with paper towel if there isn’t a lot

You can do the same thing with baking soda

I just put in jars. Like pickles jars, tomato jars! It’s end ups being cheaper to do it that way.

As an Indian I know that oils can be re-used many times I am just surprised that you threw it all away . You can just use it again in cooking...that way you can save up oil

Why not poar down sink or use less oil

When I was younger I use to slowly dump it down the drain while running hot water and never had a problem. Now that I am much older I don’t cook foods in oil anymore.

Or you can clean it and save it, that’s more eco-friendly 🤷🏽‍♀️
