Toyota Dealers CAN’T SELL TRUCKS

Going over how inventory is piling up of Toyota trucks on dealer lots across North America. The truck market is definitely slowing down and buyers are getting sick and tired of these ridiculous prices not to mention terrible interest rates. So a Toyota tundra sitting on the lot for 300 and some odd days is the new normal? Full size trucks from other manufacturers are still selling really well particularly the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, they’re doing great. And I just heard that Ford F150 sales were up almost 10% as well. Toyota tundra on the other hand is sitting at the last of the pack as usual. The beloved Toyota Tacoma sales are way down compared to what they used to be. a lot of people don’t like these new turbo charged V-8 and version sixes that are simply easy to work on easy to maintain and far more affordable.

Pay $80, 000 to get a truck that engine will blow up instantly. What a deal!

Too many negatives. Made in Mexico. Turbo 4 banger. Long term reliability is questionable. Toyota has lost its way.

They'd rather let the product sit and rot then to come down on the price. That's pure greed. F' em all!!!!

I am still running a Nissan frontier with 320k on it, a 2004! The day I pay 75k for a pickup please have me evaluated at a local mental hospital.

These Tacoma's remind me of plastic model kits I used to buy when I was a kid, they never looked right and the pieces just didn't blend together. These trucks look cheap, the old Tacomas looked like quality.

I took my 2019 tundra in for service and saw all the new ones in the showroom. Every one of them are $70k+. That’s absurd.

Pure unadulterated greed by the manufacturer's and dealers. They all deserve to go out of business. Utterly ridiculous that people are buying these things

It's so frustrating as someone who hasn't owned a truck since my teens and finally wanted to get another one with a trailer for camping right when the truck market went bonkers!
At least the RV market is coming back down to reality, now we need the truck manufacturers to stop adding massive infotainment systems while removing the tow hooks - from TRUCKS?~!

Our local small town dealer has the most New vehicles I have ever seen there. Nobody is going to pay that for a work truck in the snow belt.

Buy a half ton truck that can rival my house thanks. I will drive my 2017 Ram until the wheels fall off of it. Then I will put new wheels on it. Who can afford a $1000 per month truck payment? Where is the money going? Does UAW pay six figures to assemblers?

Agreed, the 3rd generation Tacoma looks way better.

Let the bad turbo overpriced trucks rot there

2 problems here, 1 - Toyota has a Tacoma following so Toyota got greedy and went nuts with the price while destroying the Toyota reliability by cutting corners and 2 - people are buying them, vote with your wallet people otherwise the auto manufacturers will keep making junk and charging more, $60K for ANY midsize truck is INSANE

Nobody can sell anything. We’re all to poor. I can’t afford to feed my family. 75000 is more than I paid for my house. Let them go bankrupt, don’t bale them out.

Whoever is running Toyota has no business sense. They no longer focus on the customer and bring little value with their new trucks.
They price their trucks where maybe only10% of the customer base can afford it, but produce same amounts. Of course they will start to pile up on dealer's lots.
They Introduce more complex engines (turbo, hybrid) that add thousands to the cost, but deliver so little mpg benefit. Where is the value? If I could get 40 mpg, maybe there's value.
Terrible business moves...

Cartoonish is a great description. I thought they look goofy on the car lot now I’m seeing them out on the road and they look even more goofy, but the owners seem so proud of them.
