I prefer Forza as a game but the engine sounds just didn't meet my expectations. They don't scream anymore!

GT has more accurate engine noise.  Forza isn't even close!

Honestly gran turismo had shit sounds back then, but they really improved in this game, fun fact they paired with a couple of forza people to help with the sounds of their game

Drive Club, still to this day has any game surpassed its realistic shifts and hand movements of the driver let alone it's amazing graphics and mouth watering audio
It set the benchmark pretty for its early time honestly

Gran turismo's car sound effects still sound like an old racing game from the 80s and 90s to me and electronic as all get out. Eat that gt fans! Lol
