#1 can’t be overstated. This alone keeps my win-loss $ per hour rate at 3-1 so far this year. It’s difficult but you must have the discipline. Most times I do it after yet another bad call or fold. Thanks as always!

Tip 3 is basically the same as one of the theorems an online pro came up with back in online pokers heyday i forget his name but he had a few theorems and one was "if you get called on the flop and raised on the turn, then top pair is no good."

AT-AK and suited aces were forgotten in first tip mentioned. Also KTs, QTs, J9s are playable hands for example.

#3. Why would a tight player call your raise preflop with 6/8 or pair of 5's?

#4. If you are betting 80% with top pair top kicker are you also bluffing 80% with 2 overs or 55 to avoid a read?

4x the big blind will get about zero folds where I play. LOL I have to find games outside of Texas I guess.

I play a little looser than you recommend, but not by much. On the other hand, one of the earliest habits I developed was to never go over 3 buy-ins. I didnt want to quit too early because sometimes people have a bad beat or a short card-dead streak. However, if I lost 3 buy-ins, it wasn't my night and I should cut my losses.

I would argue theres also merit to playing AX suited, especially with small X's, like A5s, A4s, as they can make Ace high flushes, and possibly the wheel or steel wheel, as well as strong one-pair hands (especially on connected broadway boards, like AK9 rainbow)

You are 100X better than i will ever be, but I must say, slow-playing and trapping is my most favorite play in poker. Being passive and springing the trap is very satisfying.

your content awesome!! Would love to see more like "neighborhood game" breakdowns, you've talked about how the monthly friend game often has different dynamics, where ppl play more hands, and don't fold as much. Need to conquer my monthly friendly game

First two example hands literally don't follow the first rule he gives.

I notice you said nothing about position in regard to the button? Does this not play into your strategy?

Emm... You forgot in first advise about few hands like AK, AQ, AJ, AT. I hope that you don't want me to fold all of them ;P
