Having a blind client at one point, you learn quickly that she just wants to be treated and talked to like you talk to everyone else. Once you just start talking to them the way you talk to everyone else, the better the relationship becomes.

I’m deaf and people say all the time “Did you hear that **insert fact**” and then panic that they’ve offended me. Honestly I think worrying so much about these little things takes away from the seriousness of the big offensive things that people do.

My blind friend is always saying hear you later so I tell him see and hear you later and he laughs everytime 😂

“Long time no see” feels like you’re choosing violence.

I get the feeling Matthew has been stockpiling those lines for just the right video.

My blind friend is blind from birth and can't see anything but faint shadows and she will say she's watching a movie. The last thing she wants is for anyone to treat her differently from anyone else. I just ask if she needs help in situations and let her do her thing. She amazes me how independent she is, not much stops her.

I’m low vision and actually really hate when people tell me to “watch out” not because I don’t want to know or feel weird about the word watch being used but because I legit have no idea what you are telling me to “watch out”for. Saying “ curb, dog shit, or STEP BACK” is a lot more helpful.

My friends mom had her leg amputated after a nasty car accident. A couple years later at Christmas we were bickering in full English sarcasm and I told her she didnt have "leg to stand on" 😅 It's lovely when we can all laugh at our realities ❤️

I love how Matthew is making a joke about the phases and it's amazing how Paul knows he's not meaning it in a nasty way and so finds it funny. Love this couple so much 💖

Indeed I used to get on a bus which would pick up blind passengers both of whom had eyelids sewn shut, but they'd greet each other with a "Nice to see you again"

I find it amusing when people try to change up their language of everyday phrases to make it fit to me. They do it out of care, but there's rarely ever any reason for it.

To reassure and tease my friends, I often joke with it myself if they slip up and go "See you later" or "Look out!" then I just jokingly reply, *Yeah, you're not talking to me 'cause that won't happen."😂❤

I once gave a double thumbs up to a lovely blind man many years ago. I was mortified, and I have been kicking myself ever since... I'm really glad I watch your channel. Aside from being hilarious and highly entertaining, I have learnt so much about obstacles that never occured to me as a sighted person. Also, I have never repeated that mistake again!
