Let's not forget about The Tiger. I don't mean the Champawat tiger, I mean *The* Tiger. Basically, in Russian in the late 90's, a man had the gall and stupidity to not only try and shoot a tiger, but steal part of it's kill. The tiger not only survived the first shot, but tracked the man back to his cabin and started studying him. It would track his movements, where he would go and for how long and systematically destroyed anything and everything it possibly could with his scent. The man came back one day to find his cabin completely trashed with several rings of tiger prints around the perimeter. This guy then asked neighboring cabins for help, but everyone turned him away and either wished him luck or a swift death. Not even a day later, the tiger finally attacked and killed him.

The Tiger quite literally stalked this man for nothing more than sheer vengeance. The fact that it ate part of him was entirely a secondary thought. It was all about revenge.

There's actually a movie about Gustave called Primeval. Anyone interested in his story should definitely go watch it!

The Champawat tiger may have been the most notorious man eater, as its legend mentions some over 400 people who have fallen victim to it. She’s in the Guinness book of records.

Fun Fact: the Tsavo man eaters were maneless male lions. This is the reason why they were so large. Many people often confused them for lionesses.

Those shark attacks were actually in a river and were bull sharks.

Regarding the shark that was caught off Manhattan and had 15 lbs of human flesh in its stomach, it is very possible that it could have found human body parts in and around Manhattan as both rivers are historically known for having bodies of unfortunate victims of New York's unsavory residents so it's very possible that the shark didn't attack anyone as it would have been big news and as far the Jersey shore attacks they were shown to be Bull Sharks because they happened in the river (fresh water)

" it needed 8 shots and 1 directly in the head to kill it"
Seems like it only needed one then.

The elephant pulling a man apart is actually pretty impressively horrifying
Also understandable when it has such pain from the bullet in him

That shark was justified. Jersey Shore is a terrible show.

I think we found the actual inspiration for SCP-682 in Gustave The Crocodile. The damn lizard is too tough to die by human hands.

The Lions of Tsavo are creepy because they barely ate the bodies of their victims as if they were killing for sport.

It's interesting that nearly all habitual man-eaters are big cats. You might also mention the Njombe Lions, the Champawat Tigress, the Panar Leopard and the Rudraprayag Leopard, among others. Oddly, jaguars seem to be an exception, as man-eating among jaguars in extremely rare.

PS) I don't believe that Gustav is one crocodile. Rather, I think that many crocodile attacks in the area are credited to Gustav, especially if the crocodile responsible is a large male.

About the lions of Tsavo only killing 28 people. The tests, who claim this, looked at how many flesh eating prey had been eaten by the lions. It had only been a small part and because of that, they came to that number. But most railroad workers didn't eat flesh, because of religious believes. So the lions also ate a lot of humans, that did not eat flesh, which completely ruins the entire test, because it literally has no meaning. Yes, the lions did apparently kill 28 people, that ate flesh, but they ate even more people, that didn't eat flesh. For the nine months, they terrorised the railroad workers, they almost attacked every night and basically were succesfull every time.

That elephant probably saw the future of it's race. I'm on the elephant's side.

The bear is the only one I had never heard of prior to this video

The lions were nicknamed The Ghost and The Darkness. They made a movie about them.

Except for Gustave the Croc, these are "amateurs." The Champawat Tigress is credited with 430+ victims. Of course one could do a video on just India-Nepal people-eating tigers and leopards.
