GRRM saw what happened with GoT over the last 2 seasons. I think he sees HoTD going down the same path and he's not a happy camper about it. Unfortunately, this is what you sign up for as an author when you let others adapt your work...He also has so many more projects in the offing to think about

Great to see the guy who wrote the books to Game of Thrones is standing up to the studios for getting his work done wrong. We definitely need more like him. 👌👍 The more the better. 💯

This is just as big a problem as what’s happening with Rings of Power. They are trying to make a complex non traditional mature fantasy that’s morality questioning and more complicated into a simple good Vs evil series, while somebody else is trying to turn a traditional simple clear black and white (good vs evil) high fantasy like Middle earth and turn it into something more morally grey and mature like Game of Thrones which should not be the case. Both cases ruins both franchises. We need to just leave these properties the way they are like before and not trying to “subvert” them. We want variety, not just everything being copycats of each other. There’s no moral grey area in Tolkien’s universe while there is moral questioning in Martin’s universe. No debate. Those are how those separate IPS are and must not be changed.
