This scene shows the conversation of Aslan and Edmund Pevensie (a conversation that we do not know, even C.S. Lewis don't know the conversation of the two). Edmund Pevensie is being reunited with his brother and sisters, and he became a better person.

"No one knew what they were talking about, but it was a conversation which Edmund never forgot."

"Everybody thinks forgiveness is a wonderful idea, until they have something to forgive." C.S. Lewis.

I am willing to bet that Edmund sometimes wishes that Aslan had given him some sort of physical punishment, rather then having to hear the truth about himself. And after all, he went on to become a good King Of Narnia.

When Aslan says there’s no need to talk about what happened in the past, that’s like Jesus saying “if I have already forgive him then there’s no need for you to keep on reminding him of his past, I have already washed it away with My Blood” ❤

The kids had different reactions when they first heard Aslan’s name: Peter felt bravery, Susan felt like a pleasant smell wafted by, Edmund felt fear, and Lucy felt the same joy you get on Christmas morning.

I really like how they portray Edmund's arc.

He, like many people, are tempted by evil because of the sheer power and pleasure that can be derived from it. And, at the time, it seemed the smarter decision since evil was on the winning side for the past 100 years. However, as Edmund continues to side with the witch (who we all know represents) he realizes what he's dug himself into. He's no longer her guest of honor like when they first met, but instead a literal prisoner kept in a cell to rot forever. He constantly tries to escape her but is incapable of doing so... it's only until the light comes that he is freed.

Even the two camps are vastly different. The white witch's camp is in the darkness and shadow of the forest while Alsan's bask freely in the light.

However, that is not to say Edmund's transfer to the light is without consequence. Aslan, through his unconditional and infinite love, accepts him with open arms... but is not stupid about it either. Aslan clearly scolds Edmund for his actions and informs him on JUST what his actions have cost him and others (Alsan specifically since he will now die in his place on the altar) and Edmund is clearly shaken up about this. However, he is not obedient and respectful out of fear like he was with the witch. With Aslan, it is TRUE obedience and respect that is derived from the worse feeling he never though he could feel: shame. He failed Aslan and disappointed him despite all that had been given to him and ALL the opportunities he was given to do the right thing. Yet despite all this, Aslan welcomes his son into his camp (kingdom) because he loves him unconditionally.

Edmund truly is the best character in this series. Why? Because we are him.

i love this scenes because when Lucy hugs Edmund i think that Edmund realice that no matter what terrible things he did, Lucy will still love him unconditionally 💕😍 For her, he will be always her big brother and he realize Lucy is going to be the one who will always sees for him

I like how they didn't have a group hug. Edmund really needed the forgiveness and acceptance from each sibling individually.

Peter has a different way of showing it than the sisters, but that playful line "Try not to wander off." was very nicely done.

this is better than the book . the way lucy just runs up to Edmund and hugs him, and the hug is so much different to there first one when he pushes her off . in this one i think he realizes how much she means to him

It seems like they wanted to get mad at him for his betrayal, but seeing the injuries made them realize he'd already suffered enough for the mistake.

Beautiful scene.

Edmund had sinned, and now he has repented.

Lucy was the glue of that squad, without a doubt. After all he did, she still gravitated to him, that is innocence.

@1:20 the best part of the clip for me. When Lucy flung herself against Edmund and Edmund just held her tightly. It's the love between brother and sister that never dies.

Edmund learned his lesson, I like how Lucy has a lovable act in her, especially for her brother Ed, she is his little sister despite the stupid things he did and said, she still loves him as a brother.

what a powerful scene! this is a perfect example of Gods grace and forgiveness. our offenses are made againts God therefore it dont need to be spread and told to everyone else. God forgives us and forgets our offense as if it never happened. "whats done is done, there is no need to speak to us about what has past"

This is my favourite scene in the whole franchise. Edmund's character was the best and his redemption was well written and believable. It's such a shame that he didn't have more of a role in the other movies/books

Peter: "How ya feeling?"
Edmund: "I just got scolded by fucking Lion Jesus. How the hell do you THINK I'm feeling?"
