Later on, Maugrim and his wolves tracked down Mr. Fox and delivered him to the Witch, declaring Fox as a "traitor", rallying the Fox in the Shuddering Woods. The Witch turned the Fox into stone and commanded the Wolves to gather the faithful, that if it was a war Aslan wanted, it was a war he would get, demonstrating by casually turning a butterfly to stone as well. Fox is later seen at the castle of thrones, believed to be "unstoned" by Aslan.

I didn't realize until just now that even though the fox knew the boy was in the Queen's company, he still recognized that he had value and was royalty in Aslan's eyes.

The worst part of this was that even while the Witch was torturing Edmund, physically and mentally, she never abandoned that pleasant, calm, motherly voice of hers. Like she was scolding him or something.

This part actually made me sad when I first saw it as a kid because that fox is one of my favorite characters in this movie

"Forgive me your highness"
"Oh don't waste my time with flattery"
"Not to seem rude, but I wasn't actually talking to YOU."

I love how they made the fox in the movie. He meets the same fate in the book, but he's more respectful and afraid, so I'm glad he got to throw that little bit of shade before he was petrified.

I feel so bad for Edmund, he tried so hard to save the innocent fox, and had to watch him get turned to stone, then gets slapped in the face for no reason and has his life threatened, this point he's truly frightened

Tilda Swinton does a fantastic job in any role she's in, but this is probably one of the best she's taken on.

I genuinely love Edmund trying to save the fox. Bless him. The fox is my favourite Narnian character

Witch's sadism is visible when she plays with Edmund's concern for the the fox's life.

Edmund finally see Jadis's true colors in this scene.

1. She refused to spare the fox even though Edmund told her to.
2. She mercilessly turns the fox and a butterfly to stone.
3. She hits Edmund so hard and threaten to kill him.

although he has a fox face, however, he has a lionheart.

Mr Fox: forgive me your majesty,
Jadis: oh don't waste my time with Flattery,
Mr Fox: not to seem rude, I wasn't actually talking to you

The fox is the same voice actor who did the voice of Prince Charming in Shrek

The thing I remember most about the fox is how sassy he is and loyal.

I read somewhere the actor that played Edmund asked Tilda to really back hand him to make it look authentic and to not hold back, that he could take it and she was hesitant to agree but he politely begged her so she agreed. Idk where I read or heard that but I wonder if that’s true cause it did really look like she popped him one good!

The lack of emotion on the Witch’s face as she slaps Edmund is chilling.
To think I had a crush on her when I saw this movie as a kid! 😂

This scene shows her true colors perfectly.

The Fox seemed polite enough to not make any snarky remarks of the witch's cruel remarks towards him when she thinks he is asking for her forgiveness. He could have just said "Don't flatter yourself either because I wasn't actually talking to you." as a blowback, but he was kind enough to state that he wasn't trying to be rude despite the fact that she was rude first when she cruelly turned down his apology.

Tilda Swinton really did do a phenomenal job as one of the best villains in children’s literature. This was the film that introduced me to her and now I’ve seen what a very transformative actress she is.
The overall look of the character really is just a majestic, beautiful and threatening look. The way she speaks is so deliciously evil.
Prob Swintons best performance.
