I got lucky. When the 3090 came out, I paid $2000 for it and then mined with it for a year to make it free. It still works great despite the mining.

I picked up a Gigabyte gaming oc 4090 for $1100 off of FB marketplace. Couldn't pass up on the deal and I'm glad I got it. Now I consistently hit 240fps on my lg oled monitor. I don't regret it at all!

Only con is the price, but ignoring that, i am enjoying my 4090, picked up from day 1, 0 issues, love it. although i run it at 80% Power limit.
I did run also vertical. O11 XL - You can't close side panel.

Just bought a 4070 ti super, because my 3090 died. It's smaller uses less power better performance, runs cooler, very happy.

if someones concerned about the power cable melting, just buy a 4090 gigabyte v2
the power connector is finally in a normal place and not have to bend from the front

The smallest 4090s are the AIO watercooled. Vertically mounted, are gorgeous.

I just bought a 4090 for a new build. 5090’s are going to release with insane demand due to Ai, gaming, etc. So good luck getting one! I’ll wait for them to be more readily available and fix all the initial issues.

looking back in time, 4090 was worth the money for whoever bought it (especially considering how high the prices are right now), it got way too much hate for its price even though it is the only 4k ultra settings GPU with amazing features like DLSS, nvidia frame gen and 24gb of VRAM that will last for a long time.

I personally saved up for my first top end card. Got the MSI 4090 Liquid X a year and 1 month ago.

My cons are:
1. Price
2. The length is shorter but its wide as hell!
3. Possible clearance or space issues with smaller cases due to having the 240mm radiator

Pros:
1. It runs COOL
2. I’ve had no issues with it
3. It was only $50 more than the FE at the time.
4. The performance of a 4090 is incredible for 4k gaming

Since day 1 I’ve only been using mine at 75% power to keep the wattage down, I’ve had custom cables made that have been incredible. I ordered an Ncase M2 Crater case so I’m gonna see how this will fit if possible but this GPU has been a BEAST. I just wish I could have gotten my hands on an FE model but it’s always been out of stock.

I would love to wait and get a 5090, but I feel with scalpers and the price tag, it will be next to impossible to get one at launch. And then how long after that will they have enough stock to actually get one? That’s my issue

I paid just shy of a 4090 founders msrp for my 4080. I sometimes think back and wish I would have just spent the extra for the 4090. Truthfully though I love my 4080 overall it’s been fantastic but I will be going 5090 when that comes out.

For me I got a case that fit it and a gpu holder and my power supply had the 4090 ++H connector so I didn’t have to worry about my card burning up. I also got it when the asus 4090 was at a lower price so around 1800 instead of over 2000. It works great and I also have it paired up with other high end parts so it runs as fast as possible. I don’t plan on upgrading for another decade which is what i did last time. I also live in the US where power isn’t that expensive which is nice and it doesn’t overheat.

Bought the RTX 4090 the moment Zen 4 X3D came out and build a system. Best buy ever coming from a 6700K + GTX 1080!!! Using it with a 1440P 240 refresh OLED monitor so it should last me a while.

The 4090 is such a leap in power compared to any other generation it’s more then enough for me and anyone else I wouldn’t be suprised if they kept selling it along side the 5090 4090 stay at 1600 and 5090 will be 1999 msrp
