NEVER assume you're infertile just because your periods are infrequent or irregular. Harder to get pregnant does not mean UNABLE to get pregnant, so take precautions if you have partner(s) who have the anatomy to get you pregnant. Also obviously use a barrier method to prevent an STI unless you and your partner have been tested and don't have any other partners

Most doctors jump straight to prescribing birth control instead of figuring out what the cause of irregular periods is. It's often caused by PCOS or endo, and there are things you can do to improve these issues. It can take seeing a few doctors to find one that takes irregular periods seriously.

Everytime someone would say "just get one of those period calendars on your phone!! It helped me track mine and now I always know when it'll come!" I legit just started to laugh 💀💀 that's precious that you think a calendar can track this anomaly of a "schedule" 🤣🤣

Why not go to the doctor? I’ll tell you why. Because you’ve been going your whole life trying to get answers and all they do is give you a pill and ask you to come for more and more tests. I finally went to a doctor at 29 and he’s like “wow. You’ve got scars all over your ovaries and they’re twisted backward”. From one scan. No doctor could tell me that before??? I have cysts and endometriosis and who knows what else because I’m not waisting my time and money to get the run around.

A lot of moms on "i didnt know i was pregnant" had irregular periods and were told by doctors, without a formal infertility diagnosis, that they would either not be able to get pregnant or it would be really hard to get pregnant.

They got pregnant without trying.

The truth is that it's really hard to TIME a pregnancy when someone has irregular periods because it's difficult to track when ovulation is, haveing an irregular period does not automatically mean you can't get pregnant.
Please use protection if you want to prevent pregnancy and see a competent specialist if you do want to get pregnant!

Doctors suck when it comes to women's anatomy for some reason, I had a doctor state I could be pregnant as an abstinent teen and demanded a pregnancy test over some nausea. If they already assume that over some frequent nausea, what are they gonna do when you state you haven't got your period in like 8 months despite knowing it's not the typically assumed answer? 💀
