Initial cycles can be very irregular. This is a problem seen in young girls, so once they start their cycles, it comes once in 2 or 3 months or even 4 to 5 months. Do not worry in the first 2 to 3 years. It is very natural for the body to go slowly into the rhythm of having periods. If the same pattern persists for more than 2 years, then you can get in touch with your doctor. Only thing you should be worried about is if the cycle does not stop on time. You should not let your daughter bleed for more than 5 to 7 days. If the flow continues, please visit the doctor.Another cause of confusion is the regularity of the cycles. If its 28 days, then fine, it its 2 or 3 days here and there, they come running. to the doctor. The normal cycle is defined from 21 to 35 days. Within this time frame is always fine, sometimes you have prolonged cycles. Maybe you are getting once in 45 days. but for your body its normal. Once in 45 days is OK. This is OK as the ovulation can vary from the 14th day to the 12th day or the 18th day. So, the cycle can also vary.

Im 15 years old, I got my period when I was 13 years of age and it was always irregular but then the gaps between my periods got bigger and longer, so it went from 1 month to 5 months of no period and i dont spot or anything, Im a bit relieved that its common in teenage girls but I really just want my cycle back, sometimes i get really worried about not having it, like would i ever be able to have kids, will this prevent me from havibg kids if it turns out to be a serious health issue etc.

I’m a 15 year old who literally has not gotten their period for 5 months and my period is irregular which starts every 2-3 months. I’m glad to hear I’m perfectly fine but I’m still concerned wether I’m on menopause, infertile, amenorrhea idk. I’m too scared to ask my dad to bring me to doctors. I'm 16 years old and I got my periods first when I was 13.
