This week’s episode is inspired by a story out of the University of Montana and their cries of racism where there is none. Why do people have the desire to find racism in every aspect of society? Answer: Humans cannot be happy without meaning; so when you lack meaning in your life, you invent false evils to fill the void.

This is the first fireside chat I've seen.

I'm so thankful Samantha Bee slandered you! There's no way YouTube would have let me find your channel organically or through the algorithm

On "What you say in private":

Thirty five years ago as a teenager I came up with this maxim, and I've yet to see evidence to the contrary...

"What you imagine is what you might be. What you think is what you aim to be. What you say is what you'd like others to think you are. What you *do* is who you truly are."

I still have a ton of cold weather gear left over from global cooling, loads of tarps and plastic sheeting to protect my stuff from acid rain, and gallons of sunscreen to protect myself from the cooking after the ozone disaster. Now that I am older I am glad it's getting a little warmer. The cold makes my hips, knees, shoulders and lumbago hurt so warmer is much better.

Dennis talks of nuclear power being the answer to eliminating pollution due to fossil fuels. Yes, it is the answer. The question is really, _how do you convince the population that they need to spend trillions of dollars on technology that is seen by many as potentially catastrophic_ ? And for the record, it is an obvious fallacy to say "more people are hurt in the bathroom than are hurt by nuclear energy". Nuclear energy has very limited presence in the world. A cliff climber could say, "more people are hurt in the bathroom than are hurt climbing cliffs" . That is the same fallacy.

The Left: "If you step out of line, we will bury you!"
Also the Left: "We are proud of our diversity."

We were voting on speakers at our highschool graduation. Even though it was only going to be one speaker, us graduating students were directed to make sure on our secret ballot we had to nominate from our classmates one male Caucasian, one female Caucasian, one male minority, and one female minority. We were all together in the library when we were given that direction. I asked why we had to nominate that way. Apparently it was some sort of started regulation. I stated it was racist and sexist and I don't want to be a part of it. I wrote that exactly across my ballot, submitted it, and left. I still don't know how I came through that with suffering any backlash from faculty or students. Which is surprising considering all the bullying I had endured up to that point.

Dennis, I'm sorry but there is plenty of racism on campus. It's just not the racism that is usually claimed, it's racism in the other direction.

The state of Wyoming has the lowest crime rate in America. It also has the highest gun ownership and least amount of African Americans. Coincidence?

I'm 64 & got an email from a 6th grade friend, that based upon my current political leanings, she wasn't comfortable seeing me. I told her that I still loved her, to put our beliefs aside & just still appreciate what we loved about each others souls & what we have done for humanity in our own ways over the years. I was a teacher; she is an artist. You gave me another way to connect with her. Thank you! Love your fireside chats & Otto too💓
