The big topic no one's talking about: 👉Who are the most vulnerable to the social and economic devastation of coronavirus quarantine? It's probably not the group you suspect.

Dennis also replies to some arguments made: memes, tweets, and direct disagreements. Enjoy.

I personally witnessed what happens when people have no work.
40 yrs ago when the Steel mills closed in Youngstown Ohio. People lost their houses, cars, and other possessions. This lead to a dramatic increase alchohol and drug abuse.
Followed by divorce, broken families. But worst of all a epidemic of suicides. We must restart our economy soon

Is the political party of abortion lecturing me on "the-value-of-human-life"?

Really?

No, *really??*

7:00 - this has not been discussed yet; the idea of depression/anxiety causing more issues than the virus itself.

"I've realised, we are in an age that doesn't have much wisdom." This statement rings so very true, today.

Last week a family friend in Sweden explained their self-quarantine measures and social gathering guidelines. I was stunned as much as she was regarding the USA's extreme measures. Time will tell who dealt with COVID19 sensibly and sanely.

Dennis that closing thought about keeping a happy disposition for those who live with us in these difficult times is so right. Thanks for that powerful reminder !

I’m a wedding photographer and the innkeeper at a bed and breakfast. So glad you mentioned wedding photographers, as we are often overlooked.

My income right now is actually negative. Even when things open back up, I’ll be lucky to earn above the poverty line this year. It’s rough.

One of my favorite Pragerism's; "If your with people, you have to have a happy disposition, you owe it to the people who are stuck living with you". once again you've given me something productive to work on during this lock down. Many thanks for your wise words and levity.

My cousin was a very good photograper who is now unable to pay her bills and worried about eviction. We lent her 300 dollars to help out but my family is middle class too and our employers are shutting down as well. I'm so sick of this whole nightmare I'm about to lose my mind

My Mom has dementia and doesn't understand what's happening. We can't visit her and no matter how often we call, she can't understand why we aren't coming to see her.

"Save one life, it's worth it." Immoral and preposterous indeed, revealing both psychopathy and low intelligence.

Dennis, you are so right. I am not rich, I have a net worth over one million, that is not much if you live in New York. But, in the Midwest, I can live fine since I don't have any debts. I am currently in my winter home in Florida, it is paid off so it doesn't cost me anymore staying here for another month or two. It is the poor that is most affected.

Even without the economic effects, the effects on people's mental health is even now, and much more in the future, devastating. People who have high levels of anxiety any other time are now beside themselves.
And for citizens to be encouraged to view each other as possibly contaminated and assume that their neighbors are evil and uncaring if they don't stay home is something that we may never fully recover from.

Turn off all of the news stations for the same amount of time that we all have a stay at home order and watch the troubles melt away in just a few days.

Hi Dennis, I just wanted to say thank you for your voice of reason and integrity. I always feel so much better while listening to your fireside chats. If it wouldn’t be to much trouble, could I suggest Mabey two chats a week ? Just until the quarantine is over. My anxiety is terrible. If not I’ll continue watching the older ones. Thanks for your consideration.
