Do marriages outside the church count? If I wait to have sex only after marriage and marry legally with a woman, and then have children with her, but we're both atheists that were never baptized, when we die are we going to be judged only for our unbelief or for fornication too?

I’m here seeking one simple answer… I don’t know where to find it if you don’t know please guide me to where I could find what I need.

I’m married with children to someone that believes there’s a God but doesn’t care to get married by church (I yearn for the Eucharist and receiving the communion) he feels you just need to be grateful. I feel he diminishes my feelings and needs because he could care less about that sacrament. Both our families are “Catholic” meaning we try but are not perfect. I feel we shouldn’t be together because that’s so important to me but he doesn’t under that. I want to go confess, receive gods blessing in marriage and receive communion but I can’t because he won’t confess and we haven’t married by church. What am I to do? It’s affecting my relationship. It’s like an obese couple but one decides to go on a diet and workout and seek healthier choices but the other stays in their gluttony ways. How does that relationship work? What am I to do???
