making 80k but working everyday wasn’t a good deal man. You got swindled into making like $10 an hour but the fact that you stayed that long shows the resilience and character of you. You’re probably going to accomplish so much more just because you’re more mentally fit. If you could survive that stress, you’ll probably conquer anything. Congrats. I hope you get all that you deserve!

I just quit my Customer Service/Debt Collection job yesterday.
Not as high paying as yours and _definitely_ nowhere near as demanding, but as someone with mental health issues and possibly undiagnosed Asperger's, having people scream at me over the phone for days and tell me to go kill myself really took a toll on me.
These last two days have been pure bliss, jajaja. I plan to become a freelance English-Spanish translator. Not gonna lie, I feel a bit scared but also excited to see how it goes. Best of luck, brother!

Such a great video Reggie! I am a teacher earning 70k per year as a single woman with no kids or other responsibilities. I have felt compelled to quit for some time now as well. Many people tell me that I am fortunate to have such a salary, but the job is so draining in every way imaginable. Thank you for the motivation and positivity. Wishing you a very bright future!

I had a brain numbing job at my first office job. I was already In my early 30s, and it was the most depressing time in my life. I kept on jumping around after that until my late 40s, and finally finding a job where people treated me well with pay increases. 😊

Always bet on yourself. I left plenty of corporate jobs and toxic relationships and haven't regretted any of my decisions. Great video.

I was a makeup artist working for someone else. I was told by so many people that I was lucky to have that job and it was "glamorous". It was far from glamorous. I was drained, worked stupid hours, extremely low pay, bullied by my boss, booked in for jobs I said I wasn't available for. I was burnt out when I left and in debt. That was 5 years ago and I still have anxiety about it.

Wow! You spoke the truth about going into autopilot mode. I feel like a robot but am working on my exit plan. That point hit home.

Real talk, no one put a gun to our heads to go into work, we wake up and walk into the job every day, so we are the one to blame. Don’t hang on to things or jobs or even people you don’t like and they don’t treat you right, find something else. Prioritize looking for another job is key. I’ve seen too many people hate their job but still prioritize that job they hate day in day out. No, prioritize looking for another job than that job you hate, prioritize yourself.

Great video man. I moved from Cali to Arizona because of the high cost of living, the traffic and taxes, with no wife or kids. All my family is in Cali but just like you I gathered the courage and inner strength and it worked out. Life is too short to be miserable. Good luck to you.

Everything you said is exactly how I felt before and after walking away from my job, I was there for 8 1/2 years. It felt like I was working 9 days a week it was never freaking ending.

Listening to this is a mirror image of what I went through during covid. Company slashed salaries 20% and expected us to work much longer and take advantage of the situation. Left salary of 83k and never looked back. Months later and people there are still working under those conditions but they are scared to leave. I left some great colleagues as I had been there for 15 years, but I had to do it. This story really hits home because I gave a 1 day notice also. Did not care. That's the kind of treatment you get from employees when you treat them terribly. My God, I would fantasize about quitting. You have to take the risk sometimes to find your happiness.

If more people quit their jobs with hostile work environments, maybe the bullies will start to get the hint. Better yet, maybe they will be sued or have heart attacks and be debilitated enough to slow down to reflect.

Heyyy my dear Reggie, how are you? Love your video! Wow, you are doing so well. I QUIT my job a few years ago to travel the world and work fully online as a digital nomad and YouTuber.
Remember the video we did together? We both have improved a lot since then. Let's catch up soon.
