In this video I cover what you can do right now to encourage your baby to walk, and maybe more importantly, what you want to avoid. These tips are very simple and easy to do. These activities will build your baby's skills and help them continue to improve until finally taking that first step.

Our 8 month old has decided she wants to walk. She's been pulling up, cruising, transferring between pieces of furniture, and pushing her baby walker (we put dumbbells in the front to weigh it down so she doesn't go too fast). We recently started taking her to the pool and we'll practice walking in waist-deep (for her) water. We hold her around the ribs and she walks between dad and me. I think it's really helped her become more confident. We're slowly moving to shallower water to reduce the forces on her body and to make her work harder. Yesterday was a pool day and we came home she had a bottle and went to bed and slept very soundly. lol

My baby was able to walk about 2-3 weeks after I followed the instructions from your video. Before that, I observed she can stand firmly for few months already. That's when I thought I did sth wrong and she couldn't figure it out by her own. I must say, your videos are life saving for me from the first day till now. I really appreciate about your tips for tummy time. My wife kept preventing me from doing tummy time because "in our country, no one does that". I followed your instructions with more reading on the benefits of tummy time. I can say it helps her back muscles and neck development a lot! That can be one of the reason she can roll, sit, and stand firmly quite soon.
My baby turns 1 year old tomorrow. I know your channel will aim till 12 month only. Still, I want to express my last query. Would you mind having one video instructs how to teach the baby to drink? I'm training her but I find I do sth wrong. A research gave a lot of info, but still I would love to hear from you.

This is perfect timing for my little dude! He's 9 months and has been crawling since 8mo. He figured out how to pull himself up onto furniture and has even let go of the furniture if he has a toy in his hands. He can't stand on his own for very long, but he is learning fast! Thank you for your tips! It confirms that I'm doing the right things for him, and gives me ideas for getting him to cruise furniture!

I unknowingly followed all these tips, including the 90 degree furniture setup. Baby is taking steps all by herself a few days after 10 months, but had she not started walking, I would have patiently waited for her time, as she will have plenty of time to exercise walking in her lifetime. ;) Both grandmothers were eager to push her by making her walk by the hands, like a rag doll, I just explained that she would do it when she'd be ready. No need to rush things.

Perfect timing for this video. My daughter is 7 months and is already pulling up to standing. She finally decided to try crawling yesterday, but I don't think she will be crawling for long! lol

To anyonwhose struggling with a baby who gets frustrated if you don't hold their hands to walk. (Mine all but skipped crawling altogether so it was hard not to help him when he wanted to walk). I found putting lots of furniture and boxes they can balance on around and just help them get from box to box. It weaned mine off hand holding with tears.

I have an 11 month old who stands to play and cruises along furniture. But whenever he goes to play on another surface he sits down and turns in that direction instead of doing it standing. He also just plops down and crawls when I try to get him to use a walker. Anything I can try to get him moving toward assisted walking?

I have twins so I needed walkers for them for additional help. I didn't expect them to walk so early... one started at 10 months! 🤦‍♀️
