Megadeth has been called "Intelligent Speed Metal"... I agree.

Hey, cool reaction. People always assume metal is just long haired guys screaming. They're actually masterclass musicians with meaningful lyrics. The world will always try to tarnish good things. Glad you're discovering how powerful this music is. A lot of these tunes were written in the eighties and still hold true today, rock on 😎🤘🤘✌️🇨🇦, and by the way, not sure if you guys have heard of freedom convoy that is happening in Canada, they are standing up to government to end ALL mandates, US truckers are standing with our truckers also, gonna be huge, check it out, send your support in a message if you feel the same way, thanks😊

The bass line is classic. It was the opening for MTV News for a long time.
To my understanding, Dave wrote this about how people at the time viewed heavy metal fans

Listening to Asia describe the feeling of getting over the shock of metal and realizing you love it gave me goosebumps.

Heavy metal is such a unique style of music. Most people just complain that its noise and screaming. But if you actually listen to the instruments & lyrics heavy metal tells some of the best stories in the world

Those of a certain age will recall the baseline was the theme for MTV news for about 10 years. Back when MTV played music.

This song always reminds me of Headbangers Ball on MTV late Saturday nights

When MTV still was a music oriented channel, the bass l iij ne was the intro to MTV News.

It's funny how many old-school hip hop fans end up liking heavy metal. They're similar in that they both have something serious to say especially concerning social injustices and prejudices. Back in my high school days (the '80s) for every hour I spent listening to Megadeth or Iron Maiden I spent an hour listening to KRS-One or Afrika Bambaataa. Cheers.

I partied with Megadeth in Philly and New York. They were a brand new band and they opened for....of all bands Squeeze. My friend and I met a DJ who got us into the after concert party in philly and we were invited to go see them again the next week in NY.

I've gotten to the point where I don't even listen to my music alone anymore, I wait for the reactions to enjoy it with great people like yourselves. This is awesome to jam out, and share your journey into this whole new experience. Thanks for sharing with us, and keep enjoying the music. Love you guys. ROCK ON!!!

Dave Mustaine is Megadeth… Singer and one of the guitarist. He was in Metallica, got kicked out for being too drunk… He created Megadeth to compete and has been excellent at it. You all are jamming to the heavy thrash bands. The other softer bands are hair metal. Great job loving you guys!

What do you mean I don't believe in God?... I talk to him everyday. Always loved that opening line in the song. Asia and BJ liking metal🤘

I'm 50 now and I remember being like 15 years old loving this song and band. So glad metal and classic rock and early rap shaped my growing mind.
And you guys are great 👍

Dave Mustane is Megadeth, he used to play lead guitars for Metallica in 1981

The Peace Sells tour was the first time I saw Megadeth a club! Either '85 or '86. I was like 18 or 19. It's floating around Youtube. They were just getting popular after Dave formed the band and played a few clubs in the Bay Area. Most of the hardcore metal bands would come up to Sacramento from SF and play at the El Dorado Saloon. Yes, Megadeth absolutely ruled that show. It was a special time in music and we lived in the golden age! All worship this time in music!

This was such a landmark song when it was released. The amazing piece about this is that the song still holds relevant as much today as it did when it first came out in 1982. I love the musicianship and of course, as I’m sure you’ve heard with lots of comments, the iconic bass intro Was used for MTV news. MTV was still really cool. Great song and a great reaction. This still kicks ass to this day! And you guys too!!

This is my Favorite song that this band plays. Seriously LOVE THAT THESE ARE THE WORDS WE SANG ALL TOGETHER as teenagers, IN THE 80's & it should still be the same way. ❤

Good on you Asia for realizing the art is more important than the noise💜 Sweating bullets is one of the best thrash videos ever made, completely genius

The first Megadeth song that I heard that I liked was Angry Again from the Last Action Hero soundtrack. The next one was Symphony of Destruction. Either of these songs, plus Addicted to Chaos, would be great for a reaction.
