Lars wrote a foreword talking about the album in the booklet for the Peace Sells 2011 remaster, he is not lying. Also his favorite song from the album is my last words, and when he attended a show around 2010 I think, Megadeth played the song for him

It was always all business for Lars, he's the one who fired Dave but I doubt he ever harboured any major negativity towards him. It was more of a "This is for your benefit" type thing than anything else. The fact that Dave took it and went on to create another incredibly metal band is just bonus.

I always felt that way as well, that Dave went from “being in high school” with Killing Is My Business to “being in college” with the Peace Sells album

Lars does a lot of drugs. don't be fooled. he enjoyed the hell out of peace sells and even just him admitting that is a major thing. that James had to correct him shows, no matter what you may hear... they were always keeping track of Dave and even James must have missed him even if only briefly, if he remembered the correct album. it means James was impressed with it, too, despite all the back and forth.

Pretty cool for him to say that. He's right Peace Sells has ridiculously cool riffs from start to finish. Guitar Magazine said every song on that album contained enough riffs for a complete album.
