Dave Mustaine is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. The man beat cancer and addictions and had to re-teach himself in his 50s how to play the guitar after he messed up his arm. He’s a tough guy. I honestly love both bands though.

i like Metallica and Megadeth both. But from a technical proficiency standpoint, gotta give that to Mustaine. Both bands went in different directions and theres nothing wrong with that. But Mustaine demands technical excellence in his band, and when you have guys like Dirk Vurbeuren, one of the best drummers in the world, in your band, it shows. I'm a guitar player, and Ive always said when you have an incredible drummer in your band, its incredibly inspiring.
