Curious if the Ancestry update from last week helped you with some of the answers as to what comes from each parent. As well there are definite times in the calendar year when all the DNA companies have regular discounts of roughly around 40%. Also if you really want to dig down by parents get a brotehr or your father to do a y-DNA Test and you can do a Myto-DNA test.

@shondraheadley Of course there was red haired people there in Egypt. Just like there were blonds there too. In todays there are huge embassies built and dedicated in every country hat house ambassadors from other countries. They lives there for years. Some for decades. Some have children and marry in those countries. Some die and choose to be buried in those countries rather than be sent home. Well... What do you tink was happening in Egypt? Both upper and lower? Those lands was a major hub for visitation from other lands. Only rather than brick buildings for ambassadors hey had tents.He Arabians have ruled North Africa for over 1, 500 years. Hey took it from the Romans whom they chased out of Arabia with the help of Turkey. The Romans took Egypt from the Greeks. The Greeks took it from the Ancient Egyptians. If you start looking a the dates of the wars fought in North Africa including the Arabian conquest further south and their slave trade caravans even further south and west and the dates of migration patterns then you will see similarities. The Arabs are still into the African slave trade today. The current Egyptians told me that those weren't even royal mummies anyways. Certain tribes in Kenya and surrounding countries tell you they are from Egypt. So yeah you go a lot of research to do young lady. If you don't learn from history then you are doomed to repeat it..

In the U.S. I found out I could have saved $10 shipping on Ancestry if I had ordered through Amazon.

Thanks for sharing just curious this may sound dingy lol but the people they said you are related too did they take the dna test too? My son did dna test and they told him people he was related too ( only from his dads side though) some we knew of amd some we didn’t.... I need to take my sons dad is half Antiguan mom side and dad creole from Louisiana my history is like yours but can’t wait to see my results

May I ask how you shipped your sample back? I went to Canada post and the person told me I need a postal label in order to ship it internationally(to Ireland).
