Otto Hightower Demands Oaths of Fealty to King Aegon Targaryen II

Otto informs the lords and ladies of the court of Viserys's wish for a new heir and asks that they declare their intention to support Aegon over Rhaenyra Targaryen. House Fell remains loyal to the princess. Lord Caswell reluctantly bends the knee.

In Fire and Blood almost all of the lord's in King's Landing rejected Aegon and stood by their oaths to Rhaenyra but were imprisoned

That's Lord Merryweather, whose house is in fact sworn as a vassal of House Hightower, yet he shows more integrity than his liege lord. He stands true to his oath, as does Lady Fell. Good on them.

As far as I remember many lords of westeros were on aegon's side because he was the firstborn male child of the king and not because otto threatened anyone .
