It's fun to see kids who never grew up with this era enjoying it. I had a vaguely positive memory of this colorful/spacey/nature-y iconography from menu screens and screensavers in the 00s. We never called it "Frutiger Aero, " but I'm glad it has a name now; I didn't realize that I missed it.

We did have internet culture (and, unfortunately, early social media and the post-9/11 landscape), but PCs were still largely tools and appliances, and the "computer room" was still a thing. Phones hadn't replaced the PC yet, and HD resolution going mainstream was exciting. That 90s optimism was still there, but just more tech-focused

The best FA aesthetic video so far, catches that feeling I had as a kid, this is how the world felt, the screensavers everywhere, bank lobbies when I was waiting for my mum, a lot of people had their bathrooms themed that way. We never called it FA, it was just our reality and we thought that’s what future would feel like, we were wrong, but I’m happy a lot of people still love and miss this aesthetic 🙏🏻💙💚
