as a 90's kid, I can say. I miss the 2000's, I wish times were simpler for once, and we had old tube TV's and no subscriptions, streaming services, no bombarded ads. Just cable, VHS, DVD, classic movies, radio and channels, the works

4:23 This song takes me back to summer of 1996. I'm 8 years old. Grew up in a little suburban neighborhood. My parents are both at work. My grandma is sitting in the room with the weather channel on. I'm on the floor on the sunporch playing legos. I can feel the warm summer breeze blowing through the windows as this song is playing in the distance. The internet wasn't a thing. Social media didn't exist yet. Kids outside riding bike. Life was so simple back then.

Sounds cheesy I know but it just invokes a certain "good feeling" i can't explain. It's both happy and sad at the same time. It's like I can smell my old house I grew up in, what the neighborhood looked like during that time, and the overall feeling of innocence I had with absolutely no idea that 30 years into the future, I'll be remembering that exact moment and appreciate it for what it was.

When I was little, if I went to the living room before bed, I'd find my dad asleep on the couch with the TV still on, showing images like these. It brings back memories.

I remember these because during my cruise trips when I was young or on vacation with family somewhere like sea world, or someplace else I would change to these channels wherever I was and just sleep to these where it tells you the weather and temperature for the week. I miss it when it just talked about the weather sometimes instead of a depressing news article or something dramatic.
