This looks like exactly my issue! Coincidentally, the fuel solenoid was also sticking open some of the time contributing to the issue as well. THANKS!

Liked your video. I have the same engine on my Ferris mower. Would the motor be very very hard to start? That’s my issue, even after I run it for an hour and then try to restart it it just turns and turns. Bought a new battery too. Let me know thx.
