My Father's war, RIP Dad. Would have been 101 years old on 20 August 2024. Miss him every day.

To have been able to have returned 30-40 years later would have been a feeling like no other we can never imagine . Big Thanks .

Thank u for preserving these pictures of the sacrifices our soldiers and allies made for our freedom. The now and then with the fades, in color and touching music is priceless! My dad fought valiantly in this war, came back with medal for courage, but also a deeply saddened person.

I love this channel, sometimes it makes me really sad but always grateful for those heroes that sacrificed their lives so that we can enjoy freedom as we know it.
The background music is also very touching and appropriate. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing it with us 🇦🇺🙏

It melts my heart ♥️ every time I see war pictures with this background music. Watching war films makes me appreciate tremendously what we have now and the people I meet who were there and have witnessed it. My love and respect to them. Thank you all for your services. God bless. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for these special reminders of our greatest generation. I would like to remember my father-in-law who worked out at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (Dayton, OH) on the Manhattan Project. He never talked about it. Love you Charlie! ♥️☘️

It’s so sad to realize that nearly 100% of all of the men and women involved in this war are gone, their stories, their laughter, their perseverance are all now lost to the endless silence of history, when I see the men and women in these photos, I really wish I could’ve had a chance to meet them, and thank them for their sacrifices, to ask them their name where they were from and learn from them some of their life history, to see the kind of person they were before the war, and what their hopes and aspirations were once the war was over.
In my current life, I frequently see veterans and I always make it a point to approach them and ask them how they’re doing and to thank them for their service, it’s the least that I can do to show them the respect that their generation deserves but mostly to remind them that they are not forgotten.

What is most amazing is that we still have not found peace! Soldiers and civilians continue to suffer the ravages of war! ☮️

My uncle Carl was a medic in world war II, he served in Italy, he was gone 37 months, the war has been over a month before he come home, his family thought he was dead, the one day somebody was singing and dancing on the porch, praise God it was Uncle Carl, he survived, he had to ride a slow boat home, he didn't get to fly home, 🫡🪖🇺🇸
