These pictures always make me cry. I wasn't even born yet. My dad was in WWII in the Pacific, uncle in Europe.

Makes me wonder if anyone looking at these pictures recognizes, a family member that fought in this war . God bless to all that fought for freedom, your sacrifices were not in vain

I love these especially the Netherlands. I had a favorite uncle who served there. I always look to see if hes in a photo. The Dutch eere starving. My uncle and his unit shared c rations and chocolate with them. We are part Dutch and they were thrilled to learn this about my uncle. Liberated people tend to American cemetaries. Its considered an honor.
