Minimizing Appearance of Pores - What works

Показать описание
Eliminating pores are impossible, however, we can certainly reduce the appearance of them with good skincare practices. I'm identifying what can make pores look more obvious and the treatments that can remedy those causes. These are some of the ingredients and products that have, really made a difference to my pores. These actives aren't meant to be used all together at the same time. I alternate my active products. I use acids a couple of times a week on my retinoid off-nights. I either use AHA (Winter) or BHA's (Summer) but that's just me. I don't like to overdo the exfoliation. If you are starting out on retinoids, the other acids shouldn't be necessary. If you are new to this, take it 1 active at a time! Slow and steady.

No gimmicks here, I'm not a fan of strips and pore brushes etc that tend to be more abrasive to my skin than necessary. The treatments I like are effective without tearing off a few layers of epidermis. As always, consistency is key! Enjoy!

The Ordinary range has made a world of difference to my skin. TO Salycilic Mask really vacuums my pores. After my first use I experienced a real purge for a week. Huge blackheads were popping out all over my TZone. All that said, I believe steaming is one of the most helpful treatments you can give yourself. I double cleanse, steam, wash the steamed water on my face, pat dry with paper towel, and follow with a mask on soft, open pores. In my sixties, I have a way to go before my pores appear less 'irregular, but the results so far are deeply satisfying. Thank you for this very informative video. ❤

You nailed it. Skin improvement secondary to a better skin care routine takes time. It's a slow and steady finish/win the race.

What are your thoughts on LED masks?

I started to break out all over my nose in the last year. I tried everything to help clear it up - Paula's Choice BHA, Origins Clear Improvements, Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum, BR 1970, the "Super Pore Killer" technique, visits to facialists. What finally ended up working was cleansing with LRP's Salicylic Face wash primarily on my breakout-prone areas, leaving the wash on my face for a few minutes before washing it off, exclusively in the morning, when I'm not using retinoids, or any other acid treatments. I have also stopped drying my face after washing. Instead I apply products to damp skin. I cannot recommend trying these methods enough if you are having similar problems.

I always love how informative your skin care videos are. I saw you talk about BHA's a couple of years ago. I've been implementing it in my everyday skincare ever since then. It's significantly improved my larger pores and knocked out my white heads almost entirely. I can't thank you enough for all of your invaluable skincare information!

Renée please do a review comparison of the Biologique p50 and the Moon Juice acid toner. I have heard this is a good dupe for P50 with a better price point and some more skin friendly ingredients.

Hi Renee,
Like you, I have so many products. I've been a skincare enthusiast since my teens. I'm in my 40's. Can you do a rotation video? I know you've mentioned rotations many times. How do you decided, seasons and morning and night? Thank you.

Hi Renee!!! I am writing from Zakynthos a Greek island next to Italy!!! I love make up and skincare. While i was watching your videos I understood how much more important is the skincare so the make up has a perfect appearence. I started with the Ordinary expecially because some of the products are really dificult to find them here in Greece and I am alittle bit confused. I would kindly like to ask you a video with the basic directions for girls that start to care a little bit more about their skin. A concise video for weekly skin care with all the tips. for example retinol only at night not every night not with vit C, Lactic acid is for....Niacinamide is for... Thank you in advance!!! I am a huge fan!!!
