The Keeper of the Jedi Archives has entered a new holorecord. Continuing his investigation, Master Gnost-Dural delves deeper into the history of the galaxy after discovering that the blockade that Hylo Visz helped end was a result of the actions of the new Mandalore.

BTC 8 During a Republic resurgence in the Great War, a bold young warrior rose to fame in the Gladiatorial arenas on Geonosis. Adopting the ancient and infamous title of Mandalore, this young leader amassed an army of Mandalorian mercenaries and bounty hunters. The new Mandalore led his forces to form a blockade and challenge the Jedi Order, effectively turning the tide of the war back in the Sith Empires favor.

"Here's why you can't exterminate us, aruetii. We're not huddled in one place—we span the galaxy. We need no lords or leaders—so you can't destroy our command. We can live without technology—so we can fight with our bare hands. We have no species or bloodline—so we can rebuild our ranks with others who want to join us. We're more than just a people or an army, aruetii. We're a culture. We're an idea. And you can't kill ideas—but we can certainly kill you."
―Mandalore the Destroye

The Mandalorians are the supreme warriors of our Galaxy!!!

I agree. But if you look more closely they seem to embody the aspects of all the greatest warrior cultures of history. They are clan based like Celts, semi-nomadic like Mongols, trained and organized like Spartans, as adaptive as the Roman Legion and and always adopting outsiders into their culture like the melting pot of America. If the Mandalorians were real, they'd be the most dangerous group of people the world has ever seen.

Music from 1:38 onwards is truly amazing. Especially the motif at 2:03

And the voiceover for that particular section was amazing as well:

“When the new Mand’alor called, his loyal subjects came”

the Null ARC troopers were adopted formally into Kal Skirata's own clan, as well as a jedi knight Barden Jusik. The Nulls defected upon receiving Order 66.

Their were actually a hand full of Mandalorians left, The Grand Army of the Republic was actually trained by Mandalorians. Their were also other factions like Death Watch who wished to reclaim the honor of their ancestors.

These 3 and a half minutes will always be the most badass thing Star Wars has ever done.

My only questions are who was the successor to Mandalore the Reclaimer (Canderous Ordo), and how the crap did he screw up rebuilding the Mandalorian clans when Canderous had done so much of the work for him?  I mean the Mandalorains under Canderous were scattered, fractured, and few but still managed to invade a sith destroyer and save an entire planet and a Republic fleet.

A War-like culture revolving around honor, glory, family. (Just my opinion but when it comes to a Mandalorian, I'd say the most fierce Mandalorian to fight would be a Kaleesh, Kaleesh are my personal favorite race and they are warlike aswell so it's a good mix)

So motivation-wise, the Mandalorian blockade was essentially a WAAAGH!

They were originally a race some thousands years ago, known as the Taungs.

Wow I can't believe that jango fett destroyed death watch I think the clone wars should do an episode on that. That would be so awesome

depends what timeline you speak of, During the Saga episodes of 1 - 6, then yes Boba Fett is the last of the known Mandalorians, but there are some storm troopers who are clones from the clonewars and clones were originated from Jango so they are mandalorians in sense too. Basically they are scattered but no large Mandalorian organizations that i heard of just few bounty hunters like Boba and in the comics one named Fenn Sheise or however it was spelled, i believe there are more just scattered

Also Mandalorians aren't a race, but a way of life so to say. You can become a "Mandalorian" by following the Mandalorian code. But when families become Mandalorians, they raise the children as one thus creating a web and community of them almost becoming a sub-race. In theory, the Mandalorians could never run out.
