I love the fact that Romanians can mostly understand more than 50% of any other Latin language and that others can't understand 10% of Romanian.

How I am supposed to understand Italian if she doesn't even move her hands?

Main Romance languages: Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, French.

Main Germanic languages: Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, German, English.

English, French and Romanian are sort of oddballs in their categories. English because of its Latin influences, French because of its Germanic influences and Romanian because of its Slavic influences.
