Super Mario Bros. - Minus World: The Other Pipes

Because there are no videos showing off where the other two pipes go to that I could find on YouTube, at the time I uploaded this video. I assumes this works in all versions outside of Japanese versions/ports.

Even though you go to world 5 instead of 4, it's more practical to warp to world 4 and then warp to world 8.

The short version,
Without triggering the WELCOME TO WARP ZONE screen, the pipes bring you as follows:
the left pipe (4): -1
the middle pipe (3): 5-1
the right pipe (2): -1

left and right pipes both have the hexadecimal value 36, thus leading to world "-1" but in the game 36 is a value of invisible blocks you could walk through. so its technically 36-1, but the 36 is invisible

It's like one of those TV game shows. "Okay, Mario, pick wisely. One of these pipes leads to World 5-1, and even further in the game than the warp zone would normally take you! The other two lead to the scary minus world, which is a never-ending water level!"

Now I'm going to try that glitch to get into World 5-1 from the 1-2 Warp Zone!

So 2 versions of Super Mario, the Minus World has a different way of warping? Worlds 2 & 4 Tubes lead to the Minus World while World 3 Tube leads to World 5? I didn't expect Nintendo being hidden!

In the 35 years of playing this I've never been able to do this. It simply doesn't work for me. I follow written instructions, online videos and had people do it for me in person. I just don't get the whole clipping through the wall mechanic.

In the pipe that usually takes you to world 3, it takes you to world 5 instead! And if you run while in the wall, it will say, "welcome to warp zone!" And it will say world 5, lol

Fun fact: the level is -1 but actually it's 36-1 but the game can't count to 36 like how valve can't count to 3
