Thank you, Dr. Mandell. I tried it and it did help some. Will try it again this evening before I go to bed. Have been having insomnia for the past few weeks averaging 2 to 3 hours sleep each night. I am only able to function for about 4 hours when my brain shuts itself down and I involuntarily go to sleep around noon! At least today, I was able to stay awake all day. Thank you for this technique.

Interesting. A Energetic yoga practice I share with students I know well is to lightly place one finger at third eye center and another finger on the sternum. This invites relaxation 🙏
