One of the best videos on EDG champs. This video covered their team the most out of all the others I've watched, and really looked into their journey not only highlighting player-wise, but as a team, with tactical and team-building insight. There's a saying that improvement is not linear. People said it was a 'slump' and the 'end' for EDG, but I've always said that 'slump' was them improving. This trophy was a long time coming, but they definitely deserved it this year.

29:03 I wouldn’t call it a rumor. Both Haodong and Alecks confirmed it

EDG’s Kayo, Sova, Cypher, Omen comp is so strong, it literally has everything you need. Play making, info gathering, flashes, counters, delays, lurk, it’s almost like the dualist position is going to become just a flex spot in general where you go hey man you’re good at the game play whoever you’ll be the most cracked with.

Man you're my favorite Valorant Youtube analyst as you don't go over rounds, but concepts as a whole. Never even got into Valorant but you're content always makes me feel like a tactical genius (yes I know if I actually tried to play I'd be like a deer in headlights but I can dream). Keep up the awesome work, and I'm excited to see if 100T will recognize your skills!

Props to you, bro. This is by far the most thorough analysis of EDG since they entered the international stage. I've seen videos that were sometimes a bit inaccurate, but this one’s the real deal. You even provided evidence of the incremental changes they made, with before-and-after comparisons of their gameplay, showing how they improved and whatnot. I also liked that the video wasn’t just about KK—you highlighted the strengths (and weaknesses) of the other members as well.

That said, I wouldn’t mind if you made a video focused solely on KK. Just saying, in case you plan to make one in the future. Afterall, he is the GOAT.

Anyway, I agree with you on a lot of points—especially how EDG trusted the roster they had at the start (with Smoggy) and made a few adjustments to address what they lack. Building and maintaining team chemistry is an invaluable asset. To add to your video, I’d like to emphasize the impact of the IGL change as well. As someone who watches the minimap a lot, I think Nobody’s calls had a huge impact, supporting the team’s individual mechanics. Their calls, especially in that last round at Sunset against SEN, were spot on. Smoggy did a great job sealing the deal. It truly shows how much EDG has grown from their losses earlier this year. It's just like that 5-26 never happened.

In my opinion, the turning point was their match against PRX. That win boosted their confidence, helping them dominate through the grand finals as the top seed and eventually take it all. At least, that’s my take after watching a few minutes of their translated documentary.

Love the analysis. Pointed out a lot of major ideas I had when it came with the direction of EDG. As soon as I saw them back in 2022, I thought they had the potential of the former DRX squad; excellent team play and quick executes. I was a bit skeptical swapping out Haodong since to me he was China’s MaKo, but Simon was definitely the missing puzzle piece. Great video

This video really shows how qualified Platoon is for a francshise coaching position. In my 3-4 years of looking at valorant esports content. Platoon is the only one that I believe has the eyes for it. His insights are a quality asset that a top coach should have. He uses all sorts of tools to help analysis, stats, teamplay, chemistry, mechanically. You know how some people only look at stats to assess a team? or just looking at comps or looking only on the individual players? Even if he may not have the experience for it, his knowledge about the fundamental of creating success in deeply rooted. I hope to see the fruits and flowers of his work eventually. The best tress will eventually produce the best fruits. Right now, Platoon has establish the roots and the stems. I hope that you find your success, wherever, whenever it is. Even if I am some random user on youtube comment, I appreciated your valuable insights, from the bottom of my heart.

Love the video as you also make a video on why PRX looked better with monyet than jing and why they looked better last year with jing and they looked lost this year when everyone thought they might win everything

When everyone doubts you, you get used to it, but you eventually work hard to silence everyone. What a great story. EDG may no longer be strong in the future, but this championship is of great significance

EDG was first scene in Champions Berlin, 2021, they weren’t successful and Champions, Istanbul, 2022 were also weren’t successful. And then they pop off in Top 8 in 2023. Didn’t win in champions Los Angles, 2023. And finally clutch it out with the new roster, finally wining champions Seoul, 2024. Made respects to Kang Kang. And Congrats to their first major win this year.

Edit: S1Mon is their best sub this year for setting up towards success. Even if he low frags, his execution for his team was something unheard of.

I couldn’t fine any research for EDG participating in Champions 2021 unfortunately. But I really thought that they were the only Chinese team came Berlin.
