NASA and SpaceX conduct an In-Flight Abort Test on Jan. 19, 2020, to demonstrate Crew Dragon's ability to safely separate from a Falcon 9 rocket in the unlikely event of a failure during launch. Liftoff occurred at 10:30 a.m. EST from Launch Complex 39A at the agency's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The in-flight abort is the final, major test before astronauts fly to the International Space Station aboard Crew Dragon under NASA's Commercial Crew Program.
