This is literally everything I needed to build my MF Ghost 86. Thank you for compiling this and for the in depth videos. So much help

From personal experience, if you boost it 7+psi with a good set of tires and a clutch you can beat a 5.0 on rolls

I have my FR86 set up as my daily driver. 1# first mod: K&N drop in filter is better than ANY cold air intake. 2# Get wheels and tires. 3# Suspension. #4 Open Flash Tablet. #5 headers. Enjoy. Edit: I got the Greddy/Remark muffler delete and it sounds awesome.

Does the Invidia exhaust support raytracing?

Been driving my brothers Frs while he’s overseas in the marines he’s done a good job with the mods. Wider / better tires, BC racing coils, UEL catless headers, oft tune, invidia cat back, wheels, and drop in filter as it actually is better for N/A power gains then a cold air intake.

As someone who's been through the gambit of every mod you can think of for these cars, here's what I would do if I have a stock 86 to start from scratch with, listed in the order I would do them in:

1. Summer tires
2. Alignment + camber bolts (-2 in front)
3. Motul fluid in diff and transmission
4. MTEC shift and clutch springs
5. Whiteline bushing inserts (literally any combination of them)
6. Tune
7. Headers
8. Coils + suspension adjustment kit

Even doing just the first 5, you can completely transform this car for less than ~$500. These cars already have a decently low ride hight at stock so, unless you only care about looks, I personally wouldn't bother lowering it unless you're going all out with bumpsteer kits, control arms, etc. It already has a low enough center of gravity that adding any handling mod makes a drastic difference, especially on a street car.

Happy tuning!

How is this not a bigger channel with thousands of likes and hundreds of comments? Amazing video and super informative 🙏 I’m buying a 2015 Suburu BRZ this June-July

Believe it or not, the best mod I've done so far is getting the transmission and differential fluids changed (manual car). The tires have been a big one as well, but that's a common upgrade

This video is legendary. Thank you so much for all of the useful information, and prices on the items mentioned during the video. Truly this channel deserves more subs. Bless you

the only mod i've done so far is probably the wheels/tires, and the invidia n1 exhaust. completely new to the car world, but this video helped me see some things i should do in the future. thanks for the tips, though i probably will be going to the support help to get some more insight on what/why i should be modding things the way i should or should not be.

*MY OPINION AS AN OWNER OF ONE OF THE TWINS*
1: Catless header all the way, equal length IMO sounds better and less raspy than UEL. Some equal header outperform uel in torque dip(ACE).
2: OFT SUCKS. Ecutek and be done with.
3: Tires. YES! I always recommend going with a square set up. 17x9/9.5 +35-40. Go with 18s lowered and you can say goodbye to your axles, 18s are doable but you’ll have to stay around 1-2 inch drop from stock height.. Works well even with stock power. I recommend everyone check out RT660 OR A052s for track use or Indy 500s for daily/street abuse.
4: Personally I like Carbotech XP10s for track and XP6s for street and DBA rotors.
5: Never heard of using a chip for “throttle response”. Just lighten up the drivetrain with LWFW and a driveshaft. Highly recommend whiteline bushings for diff, subframe, and trans. If you’re afraid to void warranty... do as you wish.
6: I would not cheap this one out. Personally $1000 should be your bare minimum. Don’t believe the “this car has great handling” it has it’s flaws. Definitely can use more suspension tweaking, but it’s all up to you as the driver which way you want to take your build. Personally I would look into companies such as: Racecomp engineering, KWs, ST, Tein, and Ohlins. You will need rear LCAs to help with the negative camber it’ll produce from being lowered.
7: Personally invidia N1 is exactly how it’s marketed, CHEAP. That’s all I’m going to say. Perrin is decent, but people have experience blow outs. I like the CSGxMXP, 70MM piping(good for NA OR FI)
8: Yes, OEM FLOWS BEST. No need to debate.
9: Personally, turbo all the way. It’s great for track use and street-able if the tune is set up right. If you really want SC, JRSC(Kraftwerks is the same)or Edelbrock IMO.
This is my take on the matter. Overall, very good video detailing the twins’ “speed” flaw and addressing known changes that DOES change the car’s performance dramatically.

There is a turbo kit cheaper than any of
The super chargers he said it’s the speed by design turbo kit. It only runs at $3200 and will get you way more power I’m at 392 WHP on 13psi

My build is as follows :
1. JDL UEL turbo kit
2.JDL Dual resonated FP
3.GREDDY SUPER STREET TITAN CATBACK
4.KW V3 COILOVERS
5.ECUTEK Tune

I've pretty much done everything on the list 😆.
Had a Corsa exhaust, then sold it went back to stock catback when I added headers.

- Racecomp yellow springs/Bilstein B6, camber/crash bolts for added camber.
- Gruppe-s header/Overpipe
- OFT with custom tune
- K&N drop in filter with a Perrin inlet hose
- 17x8 wheels with stickier tires
- High temp fluid with stoptech sports pads

One simple mod I absolutely love are Mtec shift springs. They are cheap and relatively simple to install, and add a nice snappy feel between shifts.

Thanks Motoroso for the video. I went with a nice combo for my brz. One of the best videos out there to inform. Then I went and listened to some videos of said exhaust.
