In this short video, I will show you how to turn on the standard deviation cone in IBKR's TWS (Trader Work Station). The standard deviation cone is a useful tool for traders that helps to identify potential price movement based on historical volatility.

First, open TWS and navigate to the chart you want to add the standard deviation cone to. Right click on the chart and choose "Chart Parameters" from the drop down.

In the pop-up menu look for "Estimated Price Range" and click the checkbox in front of "Standard Deviation (68.27%)"

Once you have customized the settings, click "Apply" and the standard deviation cone will be added to your chart. You can easily toggle the cone on and off by clicking the checkbox next to "Standard Deviation (68.27%)".

Next look to the bottom right corner of the chart and there is a little arrow that points to the left. Drag the arrow to show the desired timeline.

Using the standard deviation cone in IBKR's TWS can help you make more informed trading decisions by providing insights into potential price movement based on historical volatility. Watch the video to see how to add this tool to your charts and start using it in your trading strategy today.

I'm having trouble doing this on my PC. I have the standard deviation checked off under "Chart Settings" but I don't see a small arrow at the bottom of my chart on my PC. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
