You helped push me towards Africans, and also, peacocks and some small haps for a 75. But like you, my original fish for this tank is a SA convict. He likes to chase but never seems to hurt the other guys, so he may stick around as the oddball. I'm glad I kept the old 20gal I had, it's making for a great quarantine tank. You earned a sub here!

Man Kev I am now literally addicted to watching ONLY your page and Cory over at Co-Op y'all are straight to the point! I KNOW I kinda screwed this WHOLE thing up🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

I'll try make it short but anger all questions you may think...

I've had a 60 gallon community tank just got another 60 gallon tank for now my Cichlid tank😊😊😊 So first time I added fish I definitely don't quarantine them🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️I now see the benefits etc... See I added actually 2 Strawberry Peacocks then 2 days later added 2 female OB Peacocks not juveniles ONE was verrry aggressive and from him back the 2 OBS there mediums then 4 days later grabbed 2 juvenile mbuna's BC I loved them and haven't seen them anywhere....

Soo OVERALL man there actually all doing fine and not fighting etc I just see the two new mbuna's are little timid and are separated and the blue dolphin mbuna hangs out under my intake sponge about most of the day.... I know I did EVERYTHING backwards and should've started with like 4-6 juveniles in the first place but if it was you or anyone who took the time to ACTUALLY read all of thiiis! Please take the 30 secund to a minute to comment back on helping.... Thanks in advance guys!

Thank you for this information. I have a question, since I’m just starting my 55G of African Cichlid, how many should I buy to start with and how long should I wait to add more? Thanks in advance 😊 sidenote: thank you for doing your best at answering everyone’s questions because I skim through all the comments and questions and it helps me out as well so thank you for that Kev :)

Hey guys question. I noticed he put Prime in the tank before putting in the new water. I'm still learning and have been putting Prime in 5 gallon buckets that I have and letting them sit for 15-20 min before putting the new dechlorinated water in. Doing it Kev's way would be much faster. Can I just use Prime in the tank and then put in chlorinated water?

Would it be best to treat the new fish with some kind of medication before putting them in new tank to make sure they're not transferring any type of deseases? If so, what type of medication is best to use?

Hi! I have half of an 800 gallon tank (as in a tank for a house), that I have turned into a DIY fish pond with DIY filtration and decor (several bricks that i found around the house). My main issue with this is that i cannot do a water change because of the way i set up the tank (I wanted to test out a minimal/no maintenance tank) and I cannot just go "lights out" because my tank is an outdoor tank and doesn't have a light, just the sun. My tank houses peacock cichlids currently. Do you have any suggestions or ideas on how to add new peacock cichlids or other African cichlids without doing a water change or doing a "lights out"? I'd be happy to gain some new knowledge.

Tomorrow i want to add 8 new fishes.. To my 450 Liter tank
So i started a little search about it...
I had 1 OB that is so aggressive and I'm worried about the new ones 😥
But after your video i think everything will be good.
Thanks for the help and the informations... I know maybe you will not see my comment but thanks anyway ❤️ thanks from Germany
