Our Maltese - Shihtzu is approaching 15, she has Cushings which we elected to treat with melatonin, adrenal homeopathy and lignins. The vet told us she would boat make it to her last birthday, well she’s here, living the dream I the farm and very happy and active.

Dr. Jones, you are absolutely right about the use of melatonin for dogs. I have a sixteen-year-old dog with some dementia and about three months ago he was keeping me up all night howling and it was me who wasn't getting rest. He was put on melatonin and now he and I both get to sleep and to me it's a wonder drug.

❌ Make sure there is no XYLITOL in it! ❌
This is awesome my…14 yr old pup often wakes up fussing at night making crazy noises. I will try this for him. Thank you!

take your dog outside more, especially in the morning. your body produces serotonin when you're exposed to sunlight, you don't have to be directly in the sun. serotonin is the precursor to melatonin. it'll be good for both of you,

My rescue staffy, who I believe lived the life of a backyard breeder, hates gunfire and fireworks. I’ll be testing melatonin on her tonight.. 4th July Weekend and of course during hunting season. Thank you Dr. We need more like you for humans as well as for all animals. God bless you!

I have a rescue dog that was missing hair on her chest when I got her. The vet prescribed melatonin and sure enough her hair grew back. It doesn't make her sleepy either and she has no side effects from this. I wasn't aware it helps with anxiety and Cushing's as well. Great video. Thank you Dr Jones.

this works for hair loss and everything you say. My daughters mini 5 lb. pom lost almost all her hair and it came almost completely back. also works for my highly immune suppressed rescued at 8weeks now 5 yrs old..papillon mix. I feed balanced home made salmon/vitamins meals I make (she eats better than we do) ;)). It all help her but have to keep on top of her weakness. I don't think she will ever be completely healed of her immunity weakness. Im now doing your flea and tic remedy for her (Daisy), she looks like a 12 lb papillon, white and apricot...so cute...love her to pieces. She's worth every bit of my energy and time and I just hope I can outlive her. I really worry about that because I'm 77. I don't think anyone would ever commit to all the care and love it takes to keep her cared for.

Found it a few years ago to treat a old staffy with Cushing's. It stopped the thirst it stopped the fur loss and even reversed it partially. Gave my boy another 12 comfortable months. Definitely something you should use if your dog is battling an auto immune disease.

I use melatonin for cushings in my Chihuahua. I didn’t have $$$$ for meds and did research. It works well for her along with ground flax. Oh she is diabetic as well.

I originally began using melatonin for July 4th fireworks so he wouldn’t be so anxious. Works beautifully.

I rescued a 13 year old mix of 1/2 miniature black poodle, 1/2 black Schipperke 4 years ago. He had been abused by his former family and basically starved almost to death and weighed 13 pounds. His size was medium not tiny. He was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Maryland and set to have his papers pulled that night. I adopted him, brought him to my vet who ran tests to see what illnesses he had as he was completely bald except for a tiny wisp of black hair on the top of his head. Amazingly nothing came up except he did have a form of PTSD and went crazy if you put him in a crate. My vet suggested melatonin to help grow his hair back. He not only grew all his hair back but gained weight up to 28 pounds. He was not obese. Sadly, I lost Midnight last year when a decision we all dread had to be made due to the fast progression of kidney disease that was not responding to treatment.

Dr. J, you are the greatest. You are extremely appreciated by those of us who want to alternatively treat our dogs. My Frenchie is thriving because of you. I am glad that I found you a year ago!

My dog is 16, it really does help her get a much better sleep. She is sundowning, and it is tough. But it helps her a bit. I give her the same one as I take, it is a gummy. She loves them, it is her treat. I am glad that you mentioned the dosage. I wasn't giving her a very low dosage. I am glad that I can increase it. Love your video's, they are always so helpful. Thanks, Dr Jones

Its not just produced in the pineal gland, actually the majority of it is produced in your gut and its a big help to your mitochondrial function in all mammals.
