Well this is a bit of a departure. Yes today we're answering a question pertaining to chess because apparently my curiosity is not strictly bound to video games. How many queens can legally exist on one chessboard?

I'm by no means a chess expert, but the part at the beginning where you move almost all of your non-pawn pieces into the middle of the board just so they can get captured had me wincing a little, even if it helps the objective of this video.

I don't even like chess yet your chess videos are oddly fascinating. Perhaps it's because you come up with goals to achieve that are so utterly absurd that they will never happen in a standard game that you can't help but wonder if it's even theoretically possible. I'm doing a challenge right now where I try to beat Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle while only moving like chess pieces. Each character is assigned randomly (Besides mario being the king) and so far the only piece I haven't gotten a copy of is the queen so this vid kinda hurts.😵

There can be scenarios where promoting a pawn to a queen instantly stalemates the opponent, in which case a rook or bishop can be a better choice

I tried searching for a video like this a while back but I couldn’t find any, so I just tried it myself! If I remember well my record is 16 queens, 8 of each color, cause I always got in checkmate situations, but it was still fun to try
